Why do some people put silly things like 5.6 years experience?
Why not 5.5 or 5+ years experience? Rather than something like 5 years and 219 days? If you has 5 year and 223 days would you list it as 5.61 years experience?
You reckon the extra one-tenth of a year will give you a leg up?

I don't know, but my 8.2 years in the industry and 1.7 years in Singapore tells me that...

seems pretty decent... though you also need to take into consideration the salary you are drawing currently back in India and calculate you additional expenses incurred here ... may not be much of a savings if you want to come here for a pure monetary perspective.
Also depending upon what company you would be joining you might want to negotiate further. Generally, people coming down from india do not get a bettter opprtunity to bargain as against any other expats.
