urgent!!!work pass and entry visa

I am the Chinese who study in France. I applied the internship in Singapore. I have been noticed that the company have submitted work permit. I want to know whether I need the entry visa to go to Singapore or not. Because Singapore embassy in France told me that I should apply the visa, however, the company told me that I don't need visa except work pass.

I am really confused and I don't know what I can do

If you are from China and holding Chinese PP then you need a visa if you are holding another country PP you may NOT need one.

The OP said that company has submitted work permit. If the application is successful, is still a visa needed? I think the work permit is already enough to enter Singapore.

The link you provided talks about Business visa or Social Visit visa only.

That is true, but the Work permit in not finalized until the medical which has to be done in Singapore. Therefore the OP still needs to come here on whatever type of visa is necessary for his passport in order to gain entry to Singapore (the Work Permit will not do it because it hasn't been issued yet and won't be until after his arrival here.

I guess you did not read the OP post properly. SG Mission in France told OP to get a visa. This clearly indicate the OP is holding China PP.
Work Permit is thru MOM. Social Visit Visa is thru ICA.
China is under Assessment Level 1 criteria hence the link I posted. You have to enter SG in order to get your Work permit , yes ?
So if there is no social visit visa, how is OP going to get Work Permit from MOM ?

Yes, yes, sorry for messing up..... I just had forgotten that an In-principle approval letter is still not valid, and I entered SG with a social visit pass. Forgot about the medical check-up thing.

Really sorry. OP needs a visa to enter SG for a few days, to solve all Work Permit issues. Doesn't need a visa to stay (as I thought) but needs a visa to enter (what I missed). Clear as water, and my sincere apologizes.
