Stamford American International School

Post by micknchance » Fri, 11 Jun 2010 3:41 pm

I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding Stamford American International School. I know it just opened last fall, and was trying to find out what people thought of it after the first year. My son is 5 and will be starting school in the fall.

If you aren't expecting an "American" education you'll likely be happy enough. Small classes, new facilities. Owned by a British company, Australian principal, and British-based curriculum. Nothing wrong with that but not American.

If you want an "American-style" education you might consider ICS.

FYI, SAIS follows the Virginia state curriculum and are now candidate for the IB program as well. They do not follow a British based curriculum.
