Approved EP - Contract 3 months

Post by babuganesh2000 » Tue, 08 Jun 2010 10:57 pm

Hi All,

I am IT Engineer got an offer with a company, but the contract is 3 months.
My EP is approved and I am starting 4th week of June. Upon completion of project I will be given 1 month time to look for a job.

Is it possible to get job in a span of 4 months time ? I am given a chance to look for opportunity during the project period also.

Thanks,
Ganesh

Depends on what you are bringing to the table and if the MOM thinks that your skillset for that position is not easily available here.

Would I be able to apply for EPEC and continue in singapore looking for a job ?

Thanks,

That would depend on whether or not you qualify for the EPEC. You would have to first see if your university/course qualifies and then, if successful, you would have to apply for a LTVP (not always granted).

From my own experience the IT area is very active
there are plenty of jobs

you should easily be able to find a job in much less than 3 months
