Hi,
I am here on a EP and just discovered my previous dentist (in America) did not finish my root canal job and now it is infected and need urgent help. I visited Q&M (I think that is the name of the clinic in AMK) and the doctor told me I need that root canal re-done. She referred me to a doctor on Orchard Rd. which would charge me about $1300 to have it done and then the doctor at Q&M would charge $600 more to do the filling/crown.
Honestly, I cannot afford to pay that much that is why I come to my favorite resource: This forum.
Does anybody know a good dentist that would not rip me off? Please post your experience it will be well appreciated.
If possible please include name/contacts for the doctor you saw and approximate prices.
Many thanks in advance!
Best,
e.

Yeah , it is affordable, can't remember how much but it is definitely cheaper than private.
I did my bridging and removal of wisdom tooths by surgery due to nature of wisdom tooth angle which was horizontal
Within two days I am fine

How much does root canal treatment cost?
The fees vary with the nature of the tooth and the complexity of the case.
It may vary from about $200 for a simple front tooth to about $800 for a molar or back tooth.

'Regular' Root Canal Treatment cases
There are no 'options' as such when it comes to root canal treatment but the complexity does vary depending on the situation and the tooth involved. The following are the pricing for root canal treatment on a new tooth (ie not previously root canal treated).
Molar $900-1200
Premolar $600-800
Front teeth (Canines and Incisors) $600

Dude i had a canal done in Hong Kong. I had a temporary canal work done like you in Miami, Florida USA and after 3 months it started to hurt again. In Hong Kong it cost me like 900 US dollars and another 400 US dollars for the crown. Try looking into a expat health insurance company like Globalsurance. they deal with many insurance companies and they can offer you a dental plan. Im looking into it myself because im in need of more dental work. JW
