Well, I might have problem like cantswim... taking leaves a few days here and there might be a problem but then again there is an Emirate's walk-in a day b4 SIA's so I really feel tempted to go. One stone hit 2 birds. :)

got it from another forum:

Hey.. I don't want anyone to panic.. but have you ever thought of the cosmic radiation you girls are exposed to during flights? If you go on an oversea's flight you get exposed to the same amount of radiation as two chest x-rays! Are you girls aware of this? Just wondering.

wonder if it is true, about the radiation thing.... :-|

You have raised a valid point about your own post (that shown in blue). In the first instance you got it from another forum so how reliable is your information when you state 'If you go on an oversea's flight you get exposed to the same amount of radiation as two chest x-rays!?'

I am not saying you are wrong but it is best to consult aviation medical staff about this as they are the only ones likely to be familiar with the risks (apart from a few other specialists persons such as researchers).

For my case, a few yrs back, the doctor tapped on my ears and said slowly some words and he asked me to repeat.

I posted this question awhile ago and hope someone can provide an advice.

Will failing medical round hampered your chance of trying again for the second time?

again, got this in another forum and just want to share it. and this shall be the last time i am posting stuffs from another forum since someone is not happy with me posting stuff from another forum.

hi all,

to those who asked, well if u study n fly at the same time... u will need to put in more effort in ur studying since u might be missing lessons and stuff. esp during the first three months... wile training or even first 6 mths while flying n under probation... worse is u cant even take MC. In SIA taking MC is like committing suicide. even if u r really sick, no one wil belivee u.. esp the ppl in the office. they think u chao geng.

as to why im quitting.. i feel that the job nature sucks to me.. the only perks r really the travelling n the money. even for travelling, coz now u dun get to stay at the countries as long as last time, you dont get to see much also. plus after flight u will b so tired, u jus wanna stay in hotel n sleep. n also flying is a job that is VERY VERY bad for health.... u will know what i mean after u start flying. n also i hate the company... its very very NOT pro-employee.. meaning.. i think that the company is very uptight, worried abt their image n they dun really care abt their employee. to them eveerything is abt profits. the working environment is ok.. someitmes u meeet nice crew n sometimes u dun... all sorts of ppl inside. as for the managemnet n the people in the office.. they are very very very nasty in my opinion... rude, proud n really treat the crew like school kids... its like a sch environmen n they r the teachers in the staff room.

in a nutshell, after flying for two years.. im very very glad im leaving... to greener pasture.

ooo btw, im a flight steward. not a flight stewardess. hehe

just want to share this info.
anyway, all the best to the peeps going on the 15th july! jiayou! =)
