hello nafnaf, i cant excess the link tho. but i believe its how u carry and present urself during the series of interviews.. i've heard of pple who are really pretty but didnt get thru to being a cabin crew

oh I thought all cabin crew must at least look presentable which includes having a pretty face so i guess im wrong anyway here are the pictures but not sure if the link can work though

most are attractive, but not all, cos i have a friend, whom i heard that she is with SIA. and all my frds who know her too, will definately have a shock that she with SIA. so i think u need not have to be very attractive.

Like the rest said, it's not so much bout the looks anymore dear. As long as you look presentable, it's fine. Because ultimately, it's about your attitude and your personality.

well presentable and pretty can be two very different things don't you think? like they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

sometimes looks do matter, sometimes they don't. as long as you don't have major acne all over your face, or look like you've been involved in a horrible accident, you definitely have a chance to make it through. a sweet pleasant personality, good communication skills and many other factors play a part. the interviewers mood on that day play a part too.

its all very subjective. you never know till you try for yourself. and i think what everyone will agree to and constantly repeat is that, never compare yourselves to others!

was just talking to my friend who has been on an sq flight recently and he actually commented that all the stewardesses were ugly

and even said that their standard has dropped, no longer like last time where majority of them were gd looking....so there is still hope for average looking people like myself

well, yes alot of people have commented that SIA standard has dropped, in terms of looks and service. but like someone said here before, i guess that is expected when you hold massive recruitment exercises where thousands show up.

but i guess that its also because they are experiencing shortage of crew and the high turnover rate? they also dropped the height requirement, it used to be much taller for both guys and girls. if you look at most of the senior crew, especially the girls, super tall, super slim.

ah well. but i think they are trying to improve and pull themselves back up.

Hi All,

I am amazed by how does everyone in this forum gather courage to go for interviews again and again after failing their interviews? I will always feel very discouraged and demoralised when I have failed an interview which I finally had enough courage to go for... haha...

It's like, when I attend a walk in interview, there are like so many gorgeous ppl there, and it's very difficult to stand out amongst them... when you look at them you're like almost convinced the interviewers will choose them over you, cos we must admit that looks do matter.

So all the sucessful ppl, care to mention how do you overcome this barrier? Or are you like already damn gorgeous yourself you effortlessly make it through?
