i have my HSC (a-lvls equiv.) from sydney and i signed up for a degree course here at SIC but it seems the uni tie up with SIC means that i will have to do the SIC dip for my 1st year and so forth. Thus i'm rather puzzled as to which would be my highest qualification should i apply (SIC Dip or HSC)?

Yes i shall call SIA and clarify.

Thanks again :)
Hmmm my friend was from SIC. According to her the you will have to get at least an Advanced Diploma from SIC to be of equal standing to the local Polytechnic Diplomas here. If you had not signed up already I would recommend you go for SIM instead. :)
Haiz....i'm almost done with my 1st year. I guess it'll be another 9 months before i can apply or I'll just try my luck with the HSC 8-)

You have the minimum qualification? A-levels equivalent? thats what they look for sometimes, but minimum requirements can always change~ :D

I've emailed SIA so i'm awaiting their reply.....sighs do they even know what they want? So erratic but i won't give up (:

you can always state the latter, they will enquire further about your qualification during the interview :D which you can then explain your situation! btw, are you in a degree course or you just enrolled but have not started?

as posted in another topic:

I got an email from SQ Recruit that they need confirmation from my high school back in Sydney about the HSC being equiv to A Levels. This is going to take weeks...

It's cool, i'm not going to give up though. [-o<

you mean the whole interview process to when you get selected for training?

there`s around 7 interviews.. i`ve lost count. but around there. you have to pass all. if you get slected for training, 2 to 3 weeks? if you`re rejected then depends on which round you failed. :)
