SIA doesn't employ fickle-minded, undecisive people like you to join them as one of the elite Singapore Girls.

Stop asking mindless questions like, "25 years old can apply?"
You want to apply, go apply. Never try, Never know.

Don't question people here... Email your cover letter, resume and the SIA Cabin Crew job application form to them and keep your fingers crossed. No point asking here as we are not the interviewers. Don't rely on string pulling where this Glenny aunt is one of the dozen interviewers SIA deployed. Emailing SIA questions are always treated as ignored emails (junks). The most straightforward is to call the SIA HR phone number.
You r straight forward. Like wat i say. I am just offering advise. Heed my advises. If not, try going for the interviews then u will find out whether i am correct anot. So r u a Cabin Crew?
Hi Glenny,

that person, "Guest", is definitely not a cabin crew, neddless to ask. Because from the way he/she writes, the cat is already let out of the bad. If he/she is a cabin crew, the advice he/she gave would not be in such a rude waY!

It's like, you dont know, but want to act as if you know a lot and act smart to give people ugly adivce! Haha! :)

People here, dont have to bother about this guest. I find him/her irritating!

So confident huh, go try! See which round you will be out.

Anyway, I am a Cabin Crew from SIA. Leading Stewardess, Rachel Aw.
Hi Rachel, thanks. Definitely you r a nice & friendly cabin crew. I enjoyed taking SIA flight. I have a few encounters whereby the stewardess remember my name when i board the plane. She addresses me with my name throughout. Service is excellent. The flight steward r also veri humble and polite. Make a comfortable journey throughout.
So you have been with SIA for how long? You enjoy flying wif SIA?

hi Glenny, yes, I enjoy flying with SIA. I get to fly to many countries, good pay & SIA is branded, i simply love it! Do i sound arrogant? Oops, I'm sorry if I do... so hard feeling... hee..:)

I am flying with SIA for 4 years already, as I have told Sihui in my previous entry.

By the way Glenny, what are you working as now?? Or still a student?? Aren't you interested to join SIA like the other girls, since your aunt is an interviewer with SIA and you knows the critieria better than others??

Currently an accountant in a MNC. I took my degree in Australia, was back to Singapore last yr aug. Yup, my aunt interview ppl in SIA. but cant disclose her name here, scare i will get her in trouble. :p

My Aunt did asked me to try it out. She say have some confident but not to proud. That will be fine. I did tried. Pass the 1st & 2nd round. But i never turn up for the 3rd one cos' i was too cropped up wif my job. Boss didnt approve my leave. Plus, My bf also dont realli wish i get in. In the end, effort wasted. But it is alright. At least i get a feel how it is like. :)

So do you have a bf? U intend to fly till how old? :)

You so lucky - your aunt is an interviewer there. If you apply, you sure get in :P

Anyway, you focused on the girls, any info for the guys.

What's the acceptable weights? I'm slim! Sighz! :?

Rachel - Glad to see you here as well, nice to have pleasant people on the forum board giving a insider's perspective!

Cheers

I did not say your advises are bad or are in a negative manner nor did I put you down. I just want to let her (keisha) know that instead of worrying here and there, just go for it. I mean..., if you want to want an interview, then do it. You need to complete whatever things that you can do and should do on your side, after that it's the SIA side whether to call you up for the 1st round of interview.

So what if I am not a cabin crew, it is the same as in every field of profession. From here, I see Keisha a 'Wanted to, But Don't Dare To' person. In Chinese, it is 'po po ma ma'. I have already said.. Never try, Never know.

My encouragement style is very frank and straightforward. I am not acting smart like someone else mentioned. Different people need different style of encouragement. There can't be always the 'Aunt Agony' style for all cases.

help.

on the application form, put 158.5cm to have a good chance to receive the invite for the interview.

it is up to the person taking the height to decide. give it a try. just send in the application form available at www.silkair.com.sg . Good Luck!
