corines,

you promoting me ah? LOL. what stooping down? I very low class meh? I jsut hope my tricks helps. Cos' i dunno how to put it in words. But it does takes a hell lot of preparation to get in. If you want it badly.

I am just speaking on my experience. What I went thru and what i did.And of cos, my hard work paid off. It's not a game of luck. Cos luck won't bring you far. humble in the service line is something you have to adhere to. You represent the company.

Remember people... repeat after me...

1) if interviewer lecture you, cos u're not well-informatiive enough.
Say: Sorry, I will listen to ur advice. Sorry sorry and sorry.

2) if ur skin is not good...
Do: slp well, rest well and eat well. Skin takes time.. I am going thru now..

3) You can't swim..
Do: LEARN, if you want this job desperately. U will swim like a fish. Left with 2 days. learn trap water.

4) too fat or too skinny?
Do: the kebaya works wonder. A top + B skirt.

5) mgmt interview
Do: think of 10 possible questions and practise it, answer like a freaking pro!

6) Appearance
Do: Appear prim and proper. Watch wat you say. Take a deep breathe and speak slowly. Speak with sense. You noe, intellectual? Read news and books to improve ur pronunciation.

anw. in regards to wat xmischax said. The water retention only happens if you cannot flushed out the water in you.. But to play safe. Avoid water 1 hr before sleep.

I hope this help most of you going for the swimming test.

Luck plays a role. But you cannot depend on luck all the time. When it comes to SIA interview. It's also 50/50.

Either ur in or out.

Why do you girls think that water retention is avoided by not drinking water? When you're dehydrated, your body goes into survival mode and excretes less water, causing you to retain water. Another cause of water retention is a high sodium intake, but that can be solved by taking less salt (obviously) and drinking more water. :) But I'm no doctor of course, so do some research and take what I say with a pinch of salt. ;)

koko I aint promoting you.

I am just speaking the truth, facts of life. I meant STOOPIN down as in listening and being humble to heed the advise of someone younger than myself.

From my experience, ladies who are older always tend to feel offended by juniors like yourself who dare to advise and speak out like that and they dont normally listen or even acknowledge you so to speak.
Hence what I mean is that even if I am older and got far more experience or whatever when compared to you, i am a teachable person and I will listen in to what u have to say. There is alot to learn and also un-learn in this industry. I rather listen and talk less for now. hehe

cheers!!!

i think you`ve misunderstood what we`re saying.. the water retention was about the eyebags part. it is true that if you drink a lot of water within an hour before you head to bed, you tend to get eye bags cos water is retained under your eyes when you lie down. that is, if you sleep laying flat like a normal person. we`re not asking people to not drink water to avoid water retention, just don`t drink so much water before you go to bed. that`s all. :)

I doubt accomodation is provided. Areas in Pasir Ris, Bayshore, Changi, Tampines, Simei, Bedok are ideal for training and flight duties.

Hi witchy.

Sorry I had to reply here cos, my pm haven been working well even thou I had more than 5 posts. Anyway...

Yes, i went for the July intake and SIA agreed to defer my training till i gotten my certificate. Which means they wait 5 months for me. Anw. I'm 21 yr old. 22 this yr.

Im sure reading the thread helps in several ways, eg interview process, tips and tricks and all.

Perhaps you might wanna specifically tell me what are ur doubts so i can provide you the best information that I can.
