totally agree with koko77. it`s not really about the curves, but still, try to find the most flattering one. more like if you fit their corporate image than if you`ve got a hott bod. they are looking for flight stewardesses, not hooter girls you know. don`t worry about it and go for it! what matters is if you`ve done your best. :)

okayy sure! you`re going for the next one or tmr?

I am not going for the tmr interview. But I can only go for interview close to my graduation, which is like end of Oct. Haha

Actually, tell you guys one thing, I went for the interview after my poly days, i actually went twice for the same in-take. How is happened? Because, SIA allow you to either send by email your reg form or send by post. Then I sent by email, but the system rebounded the email. so i thought the email did not get through, so i sent by post again. So for 1 in-take i was invited twice for interview.

So i was just wondering, those who failed today can go tmr as well? Cos it is really too close a date for them to check? just asking only.
well actually if you don`t make it today, i don`t think going again tmr will make that big a difference. you can take the time from now till the next recruitment to improve yourself, improve your chances. and they`ve already seen today`s, for sure they will have a higher standard for tmr`s. it`s not that they are biased but then they`ve really seen a lot of people today already.

haha yeah man. but hooters... eh such a bad remarks. lol.

It's the x factor and personality they're looking. Very much like emirates. But the image that they look for is different. If you guys have notice.

Emirates interview is way much difficult den SIA.

Im 167 and 49kg. I do not have curve as well. I swear.

trick is to choose the most fitting kebaya. Eg, get a A top + B skirt. Cos A kebaya could be just nice for ur torso, but ur skirt could be loose. Soo. find another skirt which is most butt-flattering. But not too tight..

I changed into 8 kebaya within that 10mins we were given. And I choose the tighest, to an extend that I cannot breathe properly. But hold on to it, it's just a 1 min check.

That 10mins was like hell. But you have to find the most body flattering uniform, to create the illusion of the 'curve'

ur skirt should not exceed the 'heel' of the sandal.

Actually the kebaya test is looking for the 'crew' factor. As long as you protray the image that they want with the right uniform, the rest is just a clinch.

Haha, Cool tactic, really!

During the kebaya testing they will check our skin again? lower arms and legs? I have got some freckles on my hands, how?

Koko, do you have past customer service experience and know foreign languages which advantage you? Because i don't have both. haha

yeahh i know! lol..

totally agree with you. if you fit the image, you`re in! even if you have curves and all but you don`t fit the image, you`ll still be out.

i`ve heard lots about emirates, it`s wayyy more difficult!

I went to the 1-to-1 interview b4, they did ask you about past work experiences and questions like what are the best and worst services you have experience b4.

Joycee.

I do have past customer service exp and I can speak french and korean. But I didn't make known to SIA. Bcos' It would be a shame if I didn't pronounce it properly. ha.. But I did state..

The skin check. If you have freckles, make up works wonder. conceal conceal conceal... use sally hansen air brush. it's marvelous!

since you are still studying. Just take this couple of months to gain some customer service exp and learn foreign language. It will be good for ur future interviewss.

emirates interview is like crazy. girls who go for their interview are mostly older girls who can forgo certain things to leave sg for work. And they're mostly workin adults already.

ek want girls who are matured. If you have brains but you do not have the looks. it PERFECTLY fine. I tell you.. ha..

but if you're gorgeous but ur personality sucks. too bad. u don't fit into the requirement.

but ek interview is one of the best interview I've seen. the 2 hrs brief was great, and the information you get was worth while.

you should go check out if you have a chance man.

Hey there

Hey guys and girls,
Best of luck to those going for the interview tomorrow. My advice is to always go there earlier than the stipulated timing to avoid the crowd and queue though I am quite affirmed that there will be already a crowd by then. Be nice to everyone you see (with sincerity) because the interviewers are very experienced in what they does and they are able to judge whether a person is genuinely sincere or simply faking it out. Be confident when presenting your speech but do not make it seemed like you are memorising. Be natural when you speak but do not appear to be overly confident which might appear to be aggressive to the interviewers. Sit straight and carry yourself with grace for the ladies. For guys, sit as per normal but not overly stretching out your legs which might seemed unsightly to certain extent. Always remember to hand in COMPLETE application form. It shows enthusiams and interest in the job. All the best to the interviewees on the 7th Jan.

Cheers

both french and spanish are really cool~ I thought of taking both languages but they don't have the time slot for me. I think Korean will be a good asian language to take up

I learnt my french from alliance francaise. And my korean from cambridge language. I think... if you wanna learn asian language... my opinion.

you can speak cantonese? It's not a language but a dialect which is good for asians. And japanese and korean is more recommended, cos' it very commercialised now.
