Hello, leftfoot! r u a guy? i'm a gal anyway. So you wear tie for the interview! I was being told by my friend that the dress code should be nice formal wear but not those formal office wear.
I din go for the interview which was being held at Sheraton. I wonder if I go for the KL interview, how many days do I hv to stay there?

Hey there, just go with a white top and dark bottom with a tie preferrbly cos it wuld make u look so much more presentable.. I initially didn't wana put on a tie too until I met a fren there who told me to do so.. Just bring ur relevant certs and be confident.. There is no fixed quest.. Most common quest is what u currently doin nw, hw is it relevant to SIA and why do u choose SIA.. Simple rite.. just speak wif ease and project urself and u can make it thru wifout much worries..

dear corines,
u'll be notify approximately 3 weeks after the deadline and the interview will be held at kl.
u must come to kl for the interview.if u pass the 1st day of the interview, perhaps the next day will be water-confi test.so it depends but during my interview, the water confi test was being conducted as mentioned.

Hey Fishy, u r sporean or m'sian?? If u are a sporean den why don't u try to send in ur application or write in to SIA which is easier cos i have a classmate and she got into SIA not thru walk-in.. BTW yea am a guy here.. Anyway wad's the difference of wearin formal wear and office wear?? ain't them the same?? Few guys even wore blazer.. wonder if they went thru, good for them if they did otherwise it would have been wasted by wearin so too nicely..

Get rid of your tatoos especially those visible ones.
There will be a lot of form fillings and stuff like that. CCE Miss Gladys Chia or one of the staff will come to your class. Stand up and greet them when they step into the classroom...well if you all forget that part of the courtesy, you may be forgiven,at least for the first day. Your main instructor ( Basic course instructor) may be Miss Foo or Mr. Raymond Leong or Mr. Thomas Chia or someone else. Remember this,be good to all your instructors especially your basic instructor because they will decide whether you stay with SIA or you go.
Band together with your batch people because you need each other's support, both mental and physical. Don't be a smart Alec unless you want a quick exit.
I will be here occasionally. If you need advice you can pm me,that includes every members here. Good Luck!
Thanks so much for the advice.
u have given me some kind of guidance, at least i don't feel extremely blur anymore.
Btw, u seem to know a lot of things in detail. U used 2b an instructor or trainer?

Anyway, anyone got further that the 3rd rnd frm the august intake? For the water confidence test, is it required to wear a trunk or a pair of shorts is enuff?? Was tinking of just wearin board shorts.. Pls advice..
Hey Leftfoot,
Its alright to wear boardshorts coz tats what i wore for my swim test... though the majority of ppl will be wearing trunks... The interviewer will just ask you to raise your shorts up to see if there are any tattoos on your thigh..
Cheerios and good luck for all your interviews.. that goes to everyone else too... hope to see you all in STC soon...

Hey Leftfoot,
... The interviewer will just ask you to raise your shorts up to see if there are any tattoos on your thigh..
What is the purpose of that when it can't be seen in uniform?.........

I am having great difficulty in believing this as at least one poster here (male) has a large cross tattooed on his back and he was accepted!
What reason would they have to reject somebody based on something that cannot normally be seen? That is the question you have not answered.

To answer your question, yes I was a cabin crew executive who had flown with SIA for 35 years.

Boh tong will you kindly stop flaunting your blog on this website, it has already been removed from the various threads and from your profile by the admin, if you continue your account will be locked.
By the way most of what you post both here and in your blog suggests you are a mere fraud!

somehow i refuse to believe that there are actually ppl who believes in this anonymous person who has been posting abt himself and self fabricated stories. it's funny how naive and trusting ppl are towards others whom they have not known and yet taking their words for real. cos obviously if its the truth, i dont think they would share such "confidential" information so very openly & willingly at the expense of not considering the consequences which may lie ahead.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
