Dear All,
Yes they do, airAsia do hire male crew...Well, I went to the interview in September and my friend and i was really lucky selected to join the airlines. But both of us give up just because airasia is not an international airline. But trust me they really need a lot of crew at the moment. So, I think they will have recruitment in KL soon...

Oh my god, SIA going to recruitment again in Malaysia. But only opens for Sarawakan and Sabahan. I was born in Sarawak, but I just failed the last recruitment in KL. Should I try again? :???:

post-medical test

Post by newsalem_13 » Sat, 30 Sep 2006 9:37 am

hi

just a question to any flight stewardesses out there. i went for my medical test about 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive any reply from Mary. my question is, does it take this long to get a reply? some of my fellow applicants have already received their call for the training date. even if i did fail the medicals will i be notified that i'm rejected? and lastly, wat are the main things that they are looking for to disqualify a candidate especially during the medical round?

thank u

newsalem_13,

There are 2 reasons why SIA have yet to call you. One, it could be due to ur notice period. Another one is, you might have failed it. *touch wood*.
My notice period is stated to be 3 months, and SIA only called after 1 month and more. But my other friends were notified after 1 week.

If they were to reject you. You would received a letter by a month or so. THe letter will be sent to you stating that your application is unsuccessful, but there won't be any reason.

Actually or maybe, some of ur particulars and certain parts of ur medical needs more clarification. So, don't worry.

Good luck.

Hello!

I went for the recruitment on 27 Aug, got thru and I went for the medical on 19 Sept 2006 and I received the call on 26 Sep 2006. Actually I went late for my medical..I drag 3 days.. but i got the call one week later! my training starts on 6 Nov. so surprise! some of my batch gals who went on the same day for the medical after the mgt interview until now has not received call yet.
I think the reason for not receiving call yet might be documents required are not in place..or they need time to slot ppl into training dates. Anyway dun bother to call Mary coz she wont give u an ans coz my batch mate did and she was told to wait for call.
BUT I do heard that they will review again on wat the mgt ppl write about us during the tea party..something like tat..so ultimately doesnt mean clear up to medical stage means got it..hope tis is not true..
and the last ting I think is the medical checkup fails *touchwood*..
there are so many reasons why Mary did not call or how they slots ppl in..so lets pray hard for those who are still waiting for tat call! dun give up!

cheers!

blancd,

I read the blog that you mentioned earlier. It's very sad that she classified FSs/FS as such hypocrites. I personally feel that any one who stereotype anybody doesn't deserve to be whereever she/he is. We are born like what we are and we choose the way we want life and our job to be. Since flying is many dreams here, she totally tarnished the name of it. She's not even feeling proud nor humble.

I would be very sad if someone would say this in such a dismissive manner. And, noe what. She's a to-be-crew too.. And if she's so negative abt it, she shouldn't be trying so many times and even if she felt so that FSs are are actresses and actors. She should keep mum. She never know who's reading.

Anyway, the blog's funny la. People say and do things differently. Oh my, human's nature. Bit childish also...

Better not revealed the blog...
