of course i dun .. else i would have failed round 2 ..
i know how to react to different situation ..

No worries, I know how to conduct myself and adapt to the needs of different situations. I would'nt have made it pass round 2 otherwise.

well i feel being a FA ...
before all about those wants to travel around, seeing the world, etc.
you have to be adaptable to the country culture ..
and sensitive about their language etc ..
if i cant speak singlish in singapore ..
then meaning i can even use simple thai in thailand ?

In my opinion, being a flight attendant besides having to enjoy the perks of travelling around the world and the like, you have to be able to adapt to your surroundings and it helps to be more culturally aware as well.
So does it mean if I can't speak Singlish in Singapore, I can't speak simple Thai when in Thailand?

talkin to different ppl have to use different language ..
being .. singapre .. forum .. ppl here .. all in all ..
wats wrong with singlish ? hahaa ..
i saw alot of ang mo come singapore speak singlish to me..
they are so cute ..

Interacting with people of different backgrounds requires a little effort on your part to fully understand each other.
Being a Singapore forum plus the fact that there are Singaporeans in here, I don't see any fault in using Singlish. Hahaa..
I've come across a lot of foreigners in Singapore who themselves, use Singlish when communicating with me.
They are so adorable but ugly ( this one is quite tricky but that's the general meaning )...

thanks for your advice ..
hope it act to those whom are going ..
no singlish in interview ..
but why not in forum !

Thanks for the advice and I hope those attending the interview will take heed.
No Singlish during your interviews please..
but I don't see the why it should be restricted in this forum though!

..there you go, might not be word perfect but at least more people can understand.

Cheers to you to...lah!

Let's hope people take heed of this message. I remember reading that SIA amongst others select people on their 'worldliness'. That means what Tiki has stated above. Even for those fortunate enough to speak good English misunderstandings can arise for a variety of reasons. Therefore it is vital to have a good command of English. I for one do not know a great deal about Singaporean culture and many others which can lead to misunderstandings in language (e.g. what may rude to one is not to another). Think about if folks the biggest mistake by many prospective flight attendants in this thread is they do not think about what the job entails. No good just looking for the next recruitment and simply filling in the application form. Best get that notebook out and start hunting for information. Here's an old adage I have mentioned before Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.

And the reason you bother, tiki and GC? Goodness knows it's been months and some things simply do not sink in.

Plavt? If God were a Brit his/her name would be Plavt. How patient can a mere mortal be?!

Good on ya, Plavt.

Well, every now and then, I read something that irks me and a certain compulsion takes hold of me and I lose all control and submit myself to the will of the mighty pen or err keyboard in this case and type forth furiously hoping some of it will make sense. Sometimes its just boredom. Alas, I have my quirks.

As for Tiki, if I may be so presumptious as to speak on his behalf, I suspect he's a good soul with a genuine desire to be helpful.

French is a language that is difficult to learn for me.
Spanish is easier.
Is a poor thing that there's not many people learning hindi and arab,

Cheesie, try to read: salute and salut . . . as different as chalk and cheese, so maybe you'll put your angry smilie back in your pocket.
