I think you must be right. I remeber reading a flight attendant's blog (now defunct) in which she said the job didn't allow her to highlight her hair. She did work for Singapore Airlines until sometime last year. Besides this goes against the 'traiditional Asian image' the Airline likes to portray.
Plavt.
My girlfriend went for the interview some time last year, but didn't make it for the 2nd round. Apparently, one of the girls in her group had streaks of blonde (ah lian style) but she presented herself well and got through to the following round.
So I'm still unsure if I should blacken my hair or maybe get one of those temporary black sprays just for that interview.

Like you i had my application sent in after the stipulated dateline. It was on the 18th Dec...much earlier than yours. Reason? Mail got bounced back.
And yeah... no replies from the airline from my side as well. Probably the picture sucked.
Try harder.
best,
MK

Hey to all aspiring FS!!
its 2 more days to go and I'm feeling the adrenaline rush already..wonder how's everyone's preparation? Honestly, I've been practising talking to myself infront of the mirror during every shower..
a bit over the top but I got to brush up my presentation skills..no time to waste. For those havin the same slot as me..7th Jan, 9.40am I really hope we cld meet up for a chat before our names are called out for the height measurement.
All the best and hope we will blow them away with our naturalness...

My interview slot is on the 8th, at 9.40am. Like many others, I have edit my pics with photoshop before submitting. I have bad skin but i'm gonna cover it up with the wonders of make-up.
Plus, i highlighted my hair a couple of days before receiving the invite. So i'm just gonna go on with my coloured hair, add tons of confidence, and see how it goes..
Good luck to everyone!
Goodluck but I think coloured hair is sucidal?
M
i agree....
why not get urself prepared by appearance first as they are not recruiting everday and its not easy to send in ur application and get the invite in the first place, since u had the chance why not do whatever u can to strike an impression forst. Unless ur desire to be landed in the career aint that strong..cheers!

I read somewhere that SIA will be recruiting 900 new FAs for the whole of 2006.

Dear Cabin crew wannabes,
Yup.. SQ is recruiting abt 900 for year 2006.. due to the A380, where those seniors will trained for the new fleet and some mite discontinue after their contract and some mite juz resign..
All the best to those who are goin for the interview this saturday and sunday.
Cheers!

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
