HI PEOPLE!!
i just want to share my experience.
i was invited to the previous interview. the other time round, i only managed to send in my application towards the end of the closing date, because the mailbox is always full.
as the day of the interview was approaching, i was getting so disappointed when i have not got my invite. when the day finally approached, i was so so disappointed that i was not invited, it really hit me greatly.
but one day after 2 or 3 weeks, i checked my mailbox as per normal and was so shocked when i saw their invite to the interview again!
when i finally went to the interview(it is not the day mention on the website, it was weeks later), i checked with fellow applicants and realised that they got their invites around the same timing as me.
what i am trying to say here is, i think the number of people applying is too large, that is why they have to split into 2 batches. and i was in the 2nd batch.
so people, esp those who sent in their application on the last few days, dun be disappointed if you have not been invited this time round. they might just drop you an email few weeks later.
and those who send in after the closing date, i am sure they will give grace and will invite you as long as it is only a few days lateness.
and btw, saturdays are for girls and sundays are for guys only.
good luck people!

may i know how old are u? ur time slot is in the morning,is good.at least the weather wont b so hot in the early morning,u wont get frustration.
As i m not in confidence, because of my skin, there are some zigs n acne scars left on my back.read thru the earlier messages posted, some ppl mentioned SIA will reject u due to tis problem. So,even i can get thru the 1st round interview, but dont think i can manage to get thru till last. will take tis chance as an experience then.
just a Q to ask, do we need to do manicure?n will tis action take consider by the judges when they are judging us ? as they can c the interviewee with pretty nails appearance. if there is not much big difference, perhaps i will just do my nail color on my own, as long as it is presentable...rite?
i'm 22 this yr....regarding about the zits & acne issue...it was told by my frd who went for the sia interview and she was eliminated at the kebaya selection...my frd told me the person rejected her bcos of her ance scars at the area which the kebaya canot be covered...well...frankly speaking, i'm not confident as well because i do not have a very good complexion......sigh...so u r right, we juz try for experience n let fate decide lor...hehe!!

Dear guys,
Many of my male friends also have not receive their invitations. I believe that SIA will send them out next week for guys. Probably they are focusing on the girls first. I have a strong feeling that they may not need that many guys now as this year alone they have managed to recruit around 80 guys. Thats alot. Also if you are not selected for this round, you may be called up for another interview held some weeks later, just like previous occasions. So dun worry that much.
Good Luck & All the Best !!!

With regards to what PINKPLUSPLINKY said, must add on that the HR guy told me not to worry even though my application was sent out late. He said they will KIV... gave me the impression that the response this round was very good and they may not be able to clear all within one Saturday. So hang in there and meanwhile keep ur options open!

One thing for sure will get it. If you are a Malaysian, you will definitely 101% stand higher chance than Singaporeans to be called for interview.
SIA knew very well that Singaporeans have 'tida-apa' or 'bo-charp' attitude. Job priority will be given to Malaysians and this is a very true fact.

Professionalism means consistency of quality. Frank Tyger
Not necessarily to put Singaporeans down though it's known that they prefer Malaysians cause they are more hardworking but that doesn't imply for the entire herd isnt it?hiccup wrote:One thing for sure will get it. hi all,
My Silkair application got through only a day after the closing date (Tues, 27 Sep), while my SIA application was sent on Thurs, 22 Sep.
Till today, I've not received the invite from Silkair. Could be that I might be in the second batch, if there is one.. well, we'll see!
I've not received an invite from SIA either. Seems like those who sent in applications towards the closing date have not gotten theirs. Has anyone who sent in their application on 22 Sep gotten a reply yet?
I'm 24, goin on 25 this year and have been working in PR & Communications for the past 4 yrs. I do hope I get shortlisted!
Well gals, let us not get disheartened.. I believe our invites may arrive a bit later. Good luck to us all!
