hello,

So did anyone get booted out after the 1-1 interview? been there once and it seems like most who went in the 1-1 interview were asked to come back for another round of interview. just wonder do they eliminate pple in the 1-1 interview.

Hello,

Questions vary during the management interview. Personal background, education, studies, work, injuries (any - don't mention them if possible). Basically anything under the sun. Please allow them to pose couple of questions and remember, it's not just your speech as much they want to know more about yourself?

Teat party takes place after the management interview and that is when the interviewers screen your teeth etc. People do get chopped at that stage so please be on your best behaviour and smile!!

Could u pls clarify if the 1-1 interview is rite after the gp interview, or will it be hours later in the afternoon? would we be sitting down for that interview? how long wld the 1-1 be? ta
The waiting time probably takes another 20-45 mins before you commence with your 1-1 interview after you have cleared the 1st round. You will know if you are selected for the 2nd round right after the 1st interview, so fret not. It's painless!

For the 1-1 interview, it will be held in a room and yes you're seated down. Interviewers are probably ex IFS, LFS etc. Male and females both applicable.

Mind telling me whether is it alright if i had my hair dyed? Or shud i color it back to the original before the interview...
Thanks!
If not heavily dyed but streaked, should be ok but keep it neat. Bun them up but if heavily dyed, probably ya want to dye it black? But regarding that, I can't really advise as it really depends on yourself?

Yes. It shows your characteristics traits. Nothing much you can do or alter them. Rumoured that it's used during your management interview but I never know the real reason.

i believe what matter most is the basic cert n not the grade. but i believe they will look at ur mother tongue n ur first language.

I tried calling about an hour ago but there was no answer. Guess too many people have been calling in already! Well, if anyone managed to get through.. let us know if you managed to find out more about the status of your application.

nope didn't receive any auto reply.. just a note from the post-master when my mail didn't get sent successfully. So I guess if you didn't receive anything, it means it was sent!

I'm still waiting........I email my application on 23 Sep early morning. Not sure they received or not.

i am not sure... but if u send thru snail mail, there is this danger that it may get misplaced... and u cant send a registered mail coz the add is a PO box add..

if u send thru email, at least u will noe if it bounces back or not...

on the other hand, it saves the trouble for the hr pple to print out yur resume and photo.... but u gotta send in a well-printed one of course...
i took the trouble to develop the photos, print on nice paper... luckily i t reaches them... :)

Samsoh,

Don't worry. Think your application should have reached SIA on time. Sent my application via snail mail on Fri 23rd at about 2pm and the lady at the counter assured me that it would be able to arrive the very next day. But blur me, didn't know I had to include a cover letter so had to resend via email the following Monday.

anyone knows what are the likely questions for the 1-1 interviews?

i think for those who haven received the invitation, dont worry, still got next week. cos some people may not want to attend the invitations and free up the chances. :)

Hi ladies

A friend of mine just sms me that her friend helped her call up SQ to check on her application and was told that the reason that my friend was not shortlisted is cos she is above 26years old...

Those of you who got shortlisted, anyone above 26 years old? My friend is extremely depressed now...
