Yea, I have a friend who defer her training date to the next batch. My suggestion would be email them back and explain your situation. They will give you a solution. Just try and see.

Oh thanks of the info! I was just worried my application would be void if I asked to defer. I'll definitely send them an email on this. Thanks Vaany & susuchubby!

Hello~I received the training date.Want to ask someone who knows about this:
I heard there's going to be second medical check at Singapore before training,
are you really going to sent back if you didn't pass this?
Cause i'm worry about my scoliosis even i pass first medical check..
What's the standard degree can SIA accept?
Thanks!!

Hi guys! May I check, has anyone else encountered a similar situation as I do:

I received an SMS from SIA to give a call to Ms Mary on the 9th of January where she asked me to sign a consent form to do a reference check with my previous employer and to email the reference check form to her asap. But from the 9th of January till now I’ve not heard anything from them.. :(

My timeline is:
Interview at SIA Sports Club: 17th December
Medical Check Up: 18th December
SMS to call Ms Mary for reference check: 9th January

(anyone else here encountered a reference check situation?)

I happen to know 3 other candidates who were from the same medical check up date as me that has gotten their responses —2 of whom received a call and are starting their training in Feb, and one of them received a rejection email.

Also, has anyone ever tried calling or emailing to them before to enquire about your status of application?
