Hi, anyone went for interview in Malaysia in September 2018 or later have received their training dates or already in the training? I went for interview on 22/9 and cleared medical test on 5/10, submitted my docs for work pass on the same day and up to now I'm still waiting for my work pass to be approved, is it normal for my case to take such long period? Or am I considered rejected by SIA? Anyone facing the same issue?

I think you can try calling the Malaysian HR, they can probably let you know your status..

Note: My current job has a 2 months notice!
after your KIV, u need to go for medical first, after you passes your medical, only you submit your doc for work pass (only applicable if you are a Malaysian)
upon approval then only resign

Yup, I'm aware of that. Just wondering if my notice period might affect my chances?
what do you mean by your notice period might affect your chances?
upon you pass your interview, you just fill up your notice period in your employment form,
if you afraid they might reject you due to notice period, then this is not an issue
tbh that you are still under KIV stage, still a very long journey to start training (if you are Malaysian)
Don't resign before going to review, you wont know whether if you pass your KIV or medical
If you are Singaporean, then KIV or notice period is not an issue.
hope the above clarifies

I have previously got rejected in 2015 during medical and am wondering if I'm banned for life. Also, I accidentally put my start date 4 months away from application date than 3 months as stated..
