I would expect that a refusal to submit to a background check would automatically mean you are rejected. This is the case in many industries that require background checks. Think about it. Companies conduct background checks to assure themselves and their clients that the person has no serious black marks.
You think they are going to say... "Except for this person... we don't know what her background is because she didn't want to submit to a background check, but we hired her anyway"? I don't think so.

Why don't you bring both just in case you might need it. Be prepared.
Loverockheiress wrote:Im not sure myself. It could be a possibility. SIA will not disclose the reason behind rejection, unfortunately. Did you get rejected?
Thanks for your reply. Did you receive a call regarding a background check etc? And are you currently working? Have you received the golden call?
Yes I have gotten the call. I waited exactly 7 weeks from the day I completed medical. Im currently working but have already tendered my resignation. My training starts in april! And no I didnt receive a call regarding any background check. My friend's friend did though.

That's really good to hear. Congrats on getting the call! Btw, was your friend's friend still working or was he/she unemployed when he/she got the background check? Hope to hear your reply soon! Thanks in advance!
