Does that mean that there were candidates who were rejected because they did not want the background check etc? If you reject, it means you will most likely not be accepted?

Im not sure myself. It could be a possibility. SIA will not disclose the reason behind rejection, unfortunately. Did you get rejected?

I would expect that a refusal to submit to a background check would automatically mean you are rejected. This is the case in many industries that require background checks. Think about it. Companies conduct background checks to assure themselves and their clients that the person has no serious black marks.
You think they are going to say... "Except for this person... we don't know what her background is because she didn't want to submit to a background check, but we hired her anyway"? I don't think so.

Why don't you bring both just in case you might need it. Be prepared.

Thanks for your reply. Did you receive a call regarding a background check etc? And are you currently working? Have you received the golden call?

That's really good to hear. Congrats on getting the call!

Btw, was your friend's friend still working or was he/she unemployed when he/she got the background check? Hope to hear your reply soon! Thanks in advance!

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
