Did anyone go for the interview today? How was it?
I went for my 2nd time and got booted at the 1st round again. Don't know what went wrong and what they are looking for...
Any tips?
Same here!!
For my round, girls who weren't as good-looking or fluent still got in the first round! I didn't really stutter as much as them but i got booted out.. Haiz..
I think sometimes need a bit of luck as well…
Wanna go together next time?
P.s. I can't PM due to lack of posts in this forum

Hi everyone!
I went for the 23nov interview and I passed both days. Just went for my medical this morning and I think it was mostly alright... except for the fact that the doctor asked if I'm taking any medication for acne. I did take medication for my skin condition before but since it got a lot better now, I stopped medication. Do you think this will affect my chances at all?
Also, earlier in the afternoon I received a call from the clinic to ask me to go down for a 2nd x-ray examination for my back. I've never had any problems or history on scoliosis so I'm pretty shocked and worried.
I also heard it's pretty common for girls to be called back for a 2nd x-ray. Any of you here in the same situation as me?

i am just curious.. in the final interview 2-1, do the interviewers check on the skin of the interviewee? or skin check is only done at the skin check round?

yup they do look at the condition of your skin too, but not close up.

2-1 interview, they don't check your skin. They will ask you basically anything, could be questions relating to why you want to join to knowing the background of your family, work place etc etc. It depends on the interviewer.
After you passed that round you will go on to Kebaya (only for girls). This is where the interviewer will check your skin and legs (up to knee), your posture and back.

Hi people!
I went for the 23 nov interview, it was my third attempt. But I was out in the 2 to 1 interview. I wonder how do you guys deal with rejection and keep on trying again and again? How do you even stay motivated? I am still a poly student and is going to graduate next year...will this actually affect my chances cause I still remb that the interviewers were shocked to hear that I am only going to graduate next year...
Thanks for replying!=D

Hi Jennica,
As for myself, it's really a job that I must experience in my lifetime so that is what keeps me going. I guess going a few times will make the rejection feel not so bad as each previous time?
If you're going to try again, wanna go together?

Hi Jennica! Keep trying if this is what you really want. You might not believe this but I've attempted 9 times and it has been a year since I've gone for my first interview. The SIA website has stated that those who are graduating before April 2014 are welcomed to join. Is it because your given notice period is too long?

Not really. I feel even worse after each rejection. It actually lowers my self-esteem like I'm never good enough for SIA. However, I don't want to give up since it's my dream job.

Hey ladies, went for the 23rd November interview, passed and went on to the 24th Nov interview. Got into Kebaya round but is placed on KIV list due to my coloured hair and ONE pimple scar. The lady said that they will email me with a date to come back for review.
Anyone in the same boat??
Hopefully they'll get back to me with a review date.

i think they do, because for mine, one of the interviewers asked if my face is always so red etc. so they do look at your condition of your skin, if it's obvious then they will ask you. but the kebaya round is basically the close up one

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
