I make it thru with braces on to management round, but i was place under KIV till i remove my braces. So no harm trying.

I think i got kicked out previously because of pimples breakout? As for pigmentation issues i'm not very sure. My skins condition seems to be okay no more serious issues thou.

Thanks for the reply bracesboy, appreciate it!
Just checked their website, next interview is on the 23 November 2013! Don't know if I should try cause I don't have a perfect set of teeth (I've one slightly Dracula teeth hahaha)
But I wonder if there are any cabin crew wearing invisalign/lingual braces...

Im guessing I didnt make it through because of my teeth. I had a bit of scar on my left hand but it takes probably another half a year to disappear. My teeth on the other hand is a little bad

Hi ....
I've always been reading the stuff over here anonymously...
But now, i guess i have to ask 1 question !
I've actually went for the 5th Oct SIA's interview ~
though managed to breeze thru the 1st and 2nd day....
I think i might be facing a problem in the medical stage...
I went to the medical checkup on Monday (7th)
The doctor asked if i had Scoliosis...
I was pretty shocked because i didn't even know i had it...
On Tuesday (8th) , they called me up , so that i need to make my way down the clinic to have another Xray Scan, because of my Scoliosis..
Question : Does Scoliosis greatly affect my chances of getting accepted ?
Infos :
- I've just came out of army , less than a month
- PES A
- Didn't declare anything else

Hello Mr Anonymous,
sq is quite particular about scoliosis. I think the reason why they asked you back for a second X-ray was to make sure your spine is fit enough to commence duties in the air. Not only just for the job, but for yourself as well. They wouldn't want to hurt your spine further if is weak to begin with.
Anyway, i think there is allowance for the degree of scoliosis. if is mild should be fine. My friend was called back for second x- ray and was selected

A few of my friends whom I met at the interview also got a call to go back for second X-ray check.
$173 and you won't be able to get the results
The max degree that they accept is below 15 I think.
I saw it on my form it wrote "Check for Scoliosis 15" when I was asked to go for my X-ray.

Been through army and it (Scoliosis) doesn't seems to have any problems...
I guess i can only pray hard and endure this torturous 2 weeks

Hello Mr Anonymous,
You're welcome. I used to have mild scoliosis too but i got it fixed and did not go for any further check ups for the medical check on Monday and i just received my email yesterday to go submit my outstanding documents on Monday!
I believe you will receive your call soon. Keep faith.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
