guys... im shouting out to those who wanna go together... since I dont know you and you dont know me... its this time we practice together before facing the interviewer... so we won't get pretty nervous inside the ballroom...

Ive got a question.. can someone pls advice.... (preferrably experienced people)

Im still an NSF with 7 more months to go... do they still allow me to participate..? or is there by chance I will be rejected first thing on the list...

(mind you that ive sent an email regarding this to SIA.. but never reply liao..)

about finger injury...

I have a left middle finger Distal Interphalangeal Joint (DIPJ) amputated due to RTA.. but I've secure myself getting a prosthetic one...

will they accept me?

lastly I heard from a friend saying.. if you don't go thru to the next round.. there's a probation period of 6? (last time i read was 9 months) from there after you can make a re-application again...

but my friend told me to just bypass the so called "probation" period...

need advise on this... ! thanks many many!

btw ... those guys who wanna go together can pm me at fb ... here's my email

[email protected] (Mohd Khairul (klazick))

lets go together !.

Hey! 7 months is a little too long.. In most cases here the max notice period is 6 months:) but you can try!! And I'm quite worried about the probation period too:( but there are some times that the interviewer actually told ppl who didn't manage to clear the mgmt round that there's is no ban and they are free to join the next recruitment interviews. I should have asked when they booted me out the last time! :/

But if I try last month, can I try this month again? Where you guys heard about the thing that must wait after 6 month and try again?

@jiahao
The ban applies if you failed the management round. Since years ago.. But if you read the forum you would see that it's not every recruitment that there'll be a ban. Sometimes there is, sometimes there isn't. It might be 6 months, 3 months, or none. It's up to sia's decision:)

freud : actually my ORD is August this year.. so by the time trying will consider it as another 6 more months (gonna be feb already!)

but yea.. you say it.. alot of my friends say.. just keep on trying...

cos this is my first time.. so i know chances of not getting thru is 80%...

oh well is how we deliver it to the recruitment team.. nonetheless... i think im gonna head down and try it out...

oh.. Jiahao.. i heard from a friend who told me that his friend mentioned it.. as he had went to the interview before... thus that probation period stated.

Hey bro..regarding the application.. You can always try it ya. I've heard of sq waiting for people before too.. But that must be because they really like them I guess? In any case, it's not really easy to et pass the interview unless if you are super lucky or talented.. So seriously no harm trying for it this jan and get a feel of how it's like. If you get it, good for you, if not you also don't go home empty handed... At least you have had experience of how it's like to attend the sq intv :)

I'm A little concerned about your finger injury actually.. I'mno doctor but this job requires a lot of physical strength and body movement.. Please don't be mistaken, I'm not doubting your physical ability.. But the doctor might be a little concerned about that due to the nature of this job. only you know best the condition of finger and if you feel that it's just as good as new then don have to be overly worried about it. :)

Lastly, regarding the ban.. I am quite curious about it as well.. I have friends that can't be bothered about it and just continue to try for the interviews despite the ban and they got in. And the bans are quite subjective, I've heard of 3 or 6mths.. But not 9.. That's a bit long isn't it? Anyway, the so called ban is only for those that got to the final round (management round) and didn't make it.. Not anything stage before that. In any case, don't worry bout that before you even go for the interview ya.. You've got nothing to lose from this.. You either gain a job or you gain an interview experience. :)

I hope i managed to help you answer some of your queries..All the best to everyone that's going for the interview :)

whitepetals... i guess youre the only one who is BOTHERED to reply .. i appreciate it alot..

anyway.. ive tried QR yesterday... it was very bad. too tired to re explain everything...

For SQ... i heard from one of those new friends that ive made during the interview... mentioned that almost 1000 applicants that is applying for...

outrageous...

okay.. about QR yesterday, NONE of the guys were selected. Thats okay.

But the thing that im pretty dissappointed about is most of the applicants that go thru the next round, 95% are all PINOYS.

and bear in mind .. the recruitment is done in SINGAPORE.

so i let you guys think about it...

Fair?

oh well.. we will move on... but will never forget.

Maybe nowadays Singapore had became PINOY-poreans. No doubt that certain Airlines are hiring foreigners nowadays even Tiger Airways.

So.. keep up the spirit if you're a CC-wannabe :D

Hi Mr metal,

It is not true that no one bothered to reply. But how do we go about replying when we are not sure of the answer? Due to the fact that we are all CC wannabes, don't want to mislead you either. I haven't been to a CC interview myself :) don't be too angry ok?

As for QR, perhaps many locals aren't willing to relocate hence they don't want to waste their time poaching on the locals, perhaps only selective candidates (based on their profile, experience, age, etc.) But foreigners are usually willing to relocate based on the fact that they are relocated here due to the pot of gold. So don't be too negative. Give SQ a shot on the 26th because if you never try, you will never know as well.

Good luck!

Slim chances unless you have a fantastic personality and look much younger than your age.
