I'm not looking down on ITE/Higher Nitec students but I believe people who have taken and passed O level's will definitely not enter ITE but instead enter a Polytechnic instead. People from the polytechnic have skills also, as well as people who sat and passed O level's.

You can't argue that higher Nitec holders are better than O level's holders because that argument is definitely invalid.

Since you have higher Nitec qualification, why don't you further your diploma studies and maybe have a chance of qualifying the interview?

I'm sorry but I don't get your sentence.
Sorry, I mean Higher Nitec Cert should be at least better than O'Level cert right?
Once again, no. As long as you have no O level's or diploma, higher Nitec cert or whatever, you do not meet SIA's minimum requirement.

@ jay

those mentioned polytechnics are definitely accepted.
i wouldnt wna take the chances to get mdis private diploma when i can take a poly diploma.

i think there are many speculations regarding the education requirements.
SIA only stated the ones they accept as a clear guideline.
whether they're strict abt it or not, its case by case basis.
you may have everything it takes to be a cabin crew in their eyes and if you have H nitec, they might consider taking you in.
they dont specify what other factors that they take into consideration if you're lacking in the requirement.
just to play safe, meet those requirements stated to avoid any disappointment.

@ noizi

i pm you alr (:

@ everything

just go for the 23rd. dont postpone anymore.
good thing they allowed you to postpone the 5th aug.
they might just reject you straight.

so i suggest you just go for it.
you can inform them personally when you're there.

from now till then, do your best to lose some weight.
there's plenty of time (:

@fathileo

1st try - booted out at stage 1

i was a nervous wreck. it was my first job interview, the turnout was immensely
huge! kept fidgeting, tried to talk to the girls beside me but they were so unfriendly,
so i stuttered and just.. disappointed myself.

2nd try - booted out at skin check

i have 2 raised moles on my face, 1 on my chin and 1 under my right eye.
i am having the one under my eye removed if i don't make it this round and
i'll try again. i get teased a lot about them too. i wouldn't say they make me
unpleasant looking, but i know it does affect my chances :(

i'm turning 22 soon, so i see no harm to keep trying
maybe try till i'm 24/25 if i still fail... it is my dream afterall
