In the email, is there any disclaimer at the bottom saying that the information from SIA is confidential? I received an email right after Mary called me. You can reply to the email to double confirm and she will reply you. She replied to me when I confirmed my address with her for the delivery of the confirmation letter

Please do not reveal any SIA staff's name here!

That's like saying if someone committed a crime, you can do it too.

Don't worry. Those who were required to go for a second x-ray will have to wait a bit longer. Normally two weeks from the date you did your second x-ray. The waiting part is always the toughest. Do not give up.
If you failed your medical, they will send you a rejection letter through post. People normally receive it in the beginning of every week. Check your postbox regularly!
Don't lose hope! No news is good news

Hey, is it possible to see if u have/ dun hv scoliosis? Well, I think it's better to find out 1st before going to the interview, rather than going thru the whole interview process and nt making it for the medicals... That will be more disheartening rite??
Just like some of my friends who make the effort to slim down, and improve their skin condition before trying out .... Cause if all these physical aspect are nt met, then goi g for the interview would be quite use less... Just my opinion

Mild scoliosis is accepted by SIA. So let's say you check it out before the interview, it's below 20degrees (which is said to be acceptable by SIA) then what? If you do make it pass the interview (if you still decide to go after checking yourself first), you will still have to go for another X-ray to check for scoliosis.
If everything in life is all about being afraid of risks, then I suggest those who are afraid of taking risks do not join SIA because you all don't have the right mentality. Stop being wary about everything. Just go for the interview and stop worrying!
Physical wise and health wise are very different. It can't be compared. Like I said earlier - even though medical check ups are unpredictable, it's very straight forward. It's either you pass it or fail it.

If you didn't require to take a second X-ray or further tests and you failed your basic medical check up, they usually send it the next week.
However, if you required further tests/X-ray and you eventually failed the medical check up, it should be two weeks from when you did the extra tests.
All the best!

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
