welcome!
Anyway people, really hope you can answer me this qn. Im aware that ex SIA cabin crews can't apply for the walk in interview, but what about SIA's subsidiary Silkair? What if i've previously been employed with Silkair, can i still go for the SIA walk in interview? Omg worrying...

as long u have 5gce o level cert. alternatively you can inform them that u are completing ur diploma soon. as for abilgail, as long you have tendered yr resignation with silkair.

FlyhighUPUPUP: hi
i think u can go ahead with the interview. u can owe them cert first then they will call u down when u get it. i still owe them documents also but not my diploma. however, im nt sure if u need to prove that u r currently pursuing a diploma. better bring proof just in case. all the best this weekend!

So does it mean that if i had totally RESIGNED from Silkair, I'm allowed to go for SIA's walk in interview, right?
Anyone previously from Silkair working in SQ now?

My friend is an ex silk air crew in SQ now.. Hope that answers your qns. N yes u need to resign before u apply for SQ. Heard that if they find out tt u r still employed w MI when u went for sq intv they will reject u..

@whitepetals Yup that kinda answered my question:) thank you! But can I just ask another qn? Lets say if i've alr served my bond(15 mth) for 12 mths, can quit 3 mths afterwards(but still working in Silkair), can I still try for SIA walk in?

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

SIA Crew

First post
Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
