Ultrasounds? you means Xray? i nvr do any ultrasounds thou. Just firsst time normal xray and 2nd time Scoliosis. did the doctor says what is the ultrasounds for? no worries, i guess there are a few of us been asked for 2nd Xray.
cos they said my breast abit lumpy, so they check for ultrasound- and there is a lump in my breast but my other doctor said its okay cos its hormonal thingy. I don't think they will accept =(
Hi lulu. Im from the 7th jan batch as well. I went for my med check recently. Doc also found my breast lumpy and scheduled me to go to mount e for an ultrasound scan the next day. The result was normal. Although the doc, radiologist and myself felt the lumpiness but the scan doesn't show any lump. Its all normal. I believe its the cause of my menses. I was having my menses then and every time before and during my menses my breast will really swell very badly. Paid $131 for the scan though. Awaiting for call now. Hope to receive gd news from them . Anyway, be more optimistic k? It might not be as bad as what u think it is.

Yes,lucky you! no lumps are found! haha.. but in my case they found a small lump. Then the next day i went to my specialist, they did another ultrasound and they said its al'right, nothing to be worried of and she wrote a reference letter for me, but i dont think SIA will accept ppl with lumps? lol, i don't know... cos i did second xray for my spines too... so kinda worry ... wish for the best, prepare for the worst =( I paid like 131 for ultrasound and 167 for spines check =(

i got a call from Mary and she just called to check my availability to start and she said she will call me again next week to confirm. I was puzzled and asked her if i am cleared? She said no.
Anyone encounter this before?

Try to think on the bright side. I heard from my friend from SIA that some of her colleagues actually hv heart probs as well as back prob but manage to get through. As for spine, as long as it doesn't exceed 19/20 degree u are pretty much safe.

Hey I'm in the same situation with you. Mary called me to check on my availability and knowing that I can commence training immediately, she informed me that she will call again next week to confirm my training date. She really did call and I'm starting my training next Thursday. So there's nothing to worry about! Just relax and wait for the good news!

I have seen a couple of candidates make it through to Management round and they wear braces. I guess it's acceptable because they're nearly through with the course of correction?

How long more do you have to wear yours?
. Wow, really? Cuz I hav always heard that pple wig braces will never pass thru stage 2. Oh, my dentist eStimated that it will be from march to June

btw anyone noes what's mAry no.? My friend need to ask something abt her confirmation too...

hey there..
if u guys have any queries u can email to the address which is stated in the invitation letter to mgmt round.. and attention it to mary

thats the best way to get to her.. when i emailed her thru that address last time she replied me within 40 minutes. i don't know if i can state the address here but its definitely stated on the invitation letter to mgmt rd (the part tt says "if u are unable to attend.. pls email..." if u cannot find it pm me and i will let u know
the number tt she called to inform u regarding the passing of ur medical.. from what i understand from current crew, don't bother trying to call cos that is not her extension no. that number is some auto generated number for them to members of public.. like interview candidates. so just email her and wait
good luck to all of you!

Yes its not easy to be one. Getting in is not easy but flying is even more challenging. Have you ever wonder why are they recruiting so many new crew? Its because the turn over rate is very high, many quit between 2-6 yrs. Some can't even wait and paid the bond to quit early. The job is not for everyone and 80% of the hopeful candinates don't even have the slightest idea of what the job entails before they are applied. After they got in they can't wait to get out.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
