If you have a degree, this job is just for fun. Stay any longer than the bond and you would be wasting your time here.

It looks glamorous and exciting, travelling all around the world, but after a while you realise that most people in the airline are very shallow, superficial.. they bring new meaning to the term "airheads".

So, ladies and gentlemen, especially those of you who have options, consider carefully before you join.

My 2 cents.
would really wanna ask, is it true that most stewardesses lose their virginity on duty? and what are the obstacles of being a stewardess. like what would you face that you really hate it so much and wanna quit, considering you have such high pay ($4000-$6000 i heard), and is it true that you also will have to spend a lot so you can't really save much? thanks so much in advance. really facing a big decision now...
That's the problem with the young crew now, too many just there to fly for fun and don't give a damn about their job. No commitment, no respect and no manners. Zero in their work and bad attitude. Report for work, take the pay and gives minimum onboard. That will explain why the ranking of cabin crew drops from #1 to #3.

You choose to keep or loss your virginity, no body can force you. Beside don't think many are still a virgin when they join. End of the day you are the one in control.

Again you choose how much you want to spend oversea. You can make do with S$500-700/mth on food when you are oversea. Shopping and sightseeing are additional spending which you are in full control of. Its you who choose how to spend your money and not the job that dictates your spending.

I am also very interested in what is the difficulty of being a crew that makes you want to quit a so call $5000- $6000 job (Not use to being around airhead etc...)

Want to promote? Yearly, around 10% of non ranking will get promoted to Leading. 3-4% of Leading to Chief and 2-3% of Chief to Supervisor.

Most people = Airhead.... It means out of about 7000 crew, there are more Airheads then the Smarthead? That will gives a minimum Airhead count at 3501 crew !!! That's a big statement that you are making. You must be a very smart girl, I am sure you can get a more challenging and highly paid job outside. Please move on once your bond finishes (If you are still under bond). You are wasting your time in a job that you have no passion in. Your country needs more smart people like you to contribute in-order to progress further. The Airline will degrade further with crew like you around.
wow wow cool down girl.

well i know that everything is in our own control but sometimes there's such a thing call peer pressure... or similar to that in every industry. and sometimes we do have a hard time if we dun follow the majority. it would be weird that all your friends are wearing prada and you are not and all of them are out shopping and you are in the hotel right?

giving our best for service is a must i understand, but having a good relationship with our colleagues can be equally important, if not more. i dun wanna be outcasted thats why i ask about the virginity thing and how much we can really save. because to me it's sth really important.

just like in sales team, if you are young and kind-of-pretty sometimes you do get harassment from male clients... it's a reality that not many say but still very true. same as modeling and acting.

there is this hidden rule for every industry, it's unavoidable, and before getting in i would like to know IT, for air stewardess.

dun get angry with harajukugirl, maybe she is really facing a problem here. cool cool

So, for the 1st and 2nd, you were booted out in which round?? I think it's really very competitive. Like have to go thru every stage successfullly. I find it quite a pity if pple are booted out in stage 5/6, it's like all your effort wasted etc... :( My friend was booted out at stage 3, it was very dissapointing for her too. But no matter what, don't give up :)
dun worry if you dun get selected doesn't mean you are not good. this time it's really tough, i heard there were 2000+ ppl and they only pick like 100? around there?

beginning of the year to mid year should be easier i think, you still got a lot of chances. i was thinking if i dun pass this time i still got another chance in feb next year before my graduation.

for skin check i heard it's by professional beautician, so if you are not confident about it you can ask a beautician what you can do about it, pimple and outbreak aren't a major thing. you'll still pass

Hey there when u went for ur medical? Monday or Tuesday? $160 is a lot !
Monday afternoon. Yah it's a lot. But I don't really exactly have a choice cos I declared. Even if I don't declare, they will still pick it up. Cos they call me today to go for the spine xray thinking that I haven't went for it.

Hope it will be fine! Pray for me! (:

Wow, u very lucky! Dont worry, just wait for the call for medical check up. May i know how old are u?? And how u answer the first round quest about cleaning toilet?? Didnt know that cc must clean toilet. Thanks :)
i'm 23. you know i got a strong feeling that it's not the ans that matters the most but how you present it, you shouldn't talk very fast, you should be clear in your wordings, and when you stand you should be aware of how you look, be confident but not arrogant. do not repeat your answers and dun en en ah ah.

for me i answered "the toilet cleanness can tell a lot about our company's hygiene. if our toilet is clean then it will also show the passengers that our food, our seats are clean too. and also, in order to keep our company's image, we shall take the initiative to do what we can do, not only the toilet, but everywhere..." sth like that, you dun have to think a lot when others are talking, when you stand it'll naturally come, and when you talk your mind will automatically come the next point you wanna say, so dun worry about it. as long as your answer is logical then it should be ok, the more important thing is how you present it and how you talk. good luck. :)

Peer pressure to have sex does not exist in Cabin Crew, maybe among the teenages during their schooling years, yes but not in CC so don't worry. Everywhere a pretty girl goes she is bound to be hit on by guys. If you don't get it then it could be pretty depressing... They will try, be it for long term or short term but there is no pressure for you to comply with them, just walk away. You won't get rich, fame nor promotion by doing that 99% of the time. So if you still want to do it then it's for personal pleasure, bearing in mind that you are thousands miles away from your all mighty parents with a room by yourself and you can practically do anything you want.

I have seen crew saving ranging from $35k/yr, 1k/yr to minus, going into debt. Again depend on your life style. You do not get pressured into buying branded goods but you might get influence into buying it as you do make a comfortable income every month. Crew are very much left to do their own things oversea now, when there is any outing you are not obligated to join. Anyway not much people organise outing anymore, be prepared to be on your own or you being the organizer. Then again do you go to office everyday and never once join your collegue for a meal ? You will be surprise there are crew in his catagory. If you are the anti social type with no vice, you will save alot of money but make no progress in your human relationship skill. Don't think you will enjoy the job other then counting your savings in your hotel room.

Basically you have to be out going and friendly to survive and enjoy flying. The fun part of the job is in meeting New people everyday and experiencing what other countries have to offer to you. Go out and have fun visiting places that you will mever go if mot for this job but with a budget and a saving plan then you will be ok. Things that you will gain from this job will be people management and the experiences that you gain when you travel and the interaction with foreignor. You will be able to size people up pretty fast and handle them accordingly depending on the situation.
