I am new to this website, and find there are tons of information on this thread. A couple of questions actually for all that ever went for the interview.
1) How strict are the skin checks for guys in actual fact? Do stuff like acne scars (small holes) , pimples, make one out of the interview right away?
- the men i met from final interview generally are clear of pimples...normal built..pleasant looking.
2) Does the built of a guy matters a lot?
-mostly i met was medium height, and small to medium size asian.
3) Is there a need to don a tie on the day of the interview?
-preferably..to impress interviewer
4) How is the attendance of the applicants and how many actually make it through on the day?
-many!! i think possibly reaching 700-800 or more..the place was packed with people from everywhere n different industries..accountants,teachers,technicians, students, master holders to diploma holdrs...
Thanks all in advance. =D

Thanks for the prompt reply there. well. They're actually clear from pimples due to the blemish or seriously clear clear? hows the skin check conducted in actual fact?
So with the attendance of about 700-800, how many actually make it through?
Is is common for people that actually go to the interview more than once, cause they get booted up time and time again?

7-800 is not accurate. group numbers go up to 130 140. each group consist of 10 hopefuls. therefore , 1 recruitment drive could see 1.3-1.4k hopefuls.

Dear all, I went for the interview on the 19th Feb, cleared all rounds and went for my medical on the 21st. However, on Wed, the medical group called to ask me to bring down a copy of my latest PES status. So I printed it out and brought it down on that same day.
However, up till now, I still have yet to receive any calls or email or letters to notify me anything. My group interview mate have already gotten her call 2 days after her medical.
Does it spell something bad? My notice period is actually immediate, and on the management day itself, I was told my tentative start day is on the 21st. Till now, still no news, do I have something to worry about?
Please advice.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
