TKWS wrote:@serembanboy :) I tried to pm you but wasn't allowed cause I've not post enough posts yet. haha :D they referred me to a heart specialist like I had posted on the above to crunkbabee:) I took the 24hrs 'test' and I did not pass the 'test'. I spent quite a lot for that check up and still did not make it(felt more sad cause of my $$ though). haha! I'm curious, why would you say it was a blessing that you weren't successful? I think you're the only one who'll understand how I felt when I received that letter. :(
i heard from my friend that her friend who had high blood pressure went to the doctor for some treatment - costs $800, but he got through the medical check-up. perhaps you can check that out and try again for the august intake? :)

@rebeccacious :) thanks for the advice. Anyway, I don't think SIA will allow me through the upcoming interview cause I heard there's a ban for those who got rejected from the management round.

I waited for mine close to 2 weeks. Got a friend who tore his ligament and he waited 3-4 weeks for the call. :)
Yes, but he was went to mount e to do further check and his report is fine. the report was sent to sq on 2nd july and till now he didn't get a buzz from HR. Last week HR did called for his COS but he is a regular so he dont have but HR need to see the original copy but my bro only have duplicate copy with "Certified True copy" stamp on it. so HR said will needa check if they can accept duplicate copy b4 they call him but its coming to 3weeks.

I don't think there's a ban... my friend tried 1-2 months after she got into the final round and she could still go. Perhaps you should just go for the interview and see what they say :>

Selecting Criteria

Post by vivyfy » Fri, 23 Jul 2010 12:51 pm

I'm from Thailand as SIA is recruiting CC in Bangkok this Sep. It's the first time for SIA recruitment here. I have no idea about their selecting criteria. Does age matter for them? I'm 27 years old now. There is no problem for the middle-east airlines but I'm not sure is that OK for SIA?

I just want them to give me a chance to get an invitation to present myself to them first. *-* Will the door open for me?

I heard that there are new joiners who are about 28-29 is that true?

I really want to join SIA. I submitted application online already but waiting is torture for me now. T__T

Thanks in advance for your reply ><"

Hi there

AGE MATTERS A LOT TO SQ. But my ex-colleague joined them at the age of 27. Guess if you are blessed with youthful looks, possible. But please do yourself a favor, if you really want to go and try, go. you never know.

Not too sure if the recruitment will be different from the ones in Singapore.
