I went for the recent round in June & got booted out at the skin check round again (all 3 times I've gone all got axed at this round).
Obviously there's something wrong here
uhm my complexion is quite okay so maybe it's my teeth? They aren't exactly pearly white & with a bit of gaps too. Or the other reason I can think of is that my arms are too hairy? Is that a possibility?
So am kinda deflated & wondering if I should try again in Aug. I'm 25 this year by the way, growing old le

You think your arms are hairy then wax it before your interview ok? Cause kebaya round also will check your skin. For teeth, i'm not sure cos i don't know how big is the gap u are refering

Luck play a big part seriously...I am going to 28...acne prone skin...english not very gd...but manage to pass through all round of interview stage...girls who are still think they don't have flawless skin or think they are old while only 25-30...don't hesitate anymore...

Sorry to say it but if you have been thrown out three times for the same reason there is no point trying again!

floatingdog - did you go with yur friend? maybe he/she could let you know ? or maybe the next walk in, you can get someone to go with you (friend/someone from this forum?) so he/she can let you know (brutually) and honestly what he/she thinks is wrong? i mean... rather than guessing, its better to have someone tell you ?
heee =)

Haha well yea if it's hairy arms can wax. But then if it's really the teeth then can give up liao. Braces + another 3 years means I will be super old by then!
I did go with another girl for the last round but uh she didn't really say much. Haha. She just kept saying don't worry don't worry, will go through. Nvm la, SQ cannot then try elsewhere!

floatingdog: just offering my 2 cents on possible issues that might have affected ur chances during your skin check round:
1) do you have any pimple scars, either red/brown ones or those depression/indented-type scars? or any big pores? did u conceal the above?
2) how big are the gaps between your teeth? is it obvious when you smile or talk?
3) is your weight in the acceptable range?
4) do you have any marks/scars on ur arms?
5) were u stiff when you were walking?

Hi, does anyone of you know whether I can take a one day leave or MC during the training? I've actually booked a trip to penang in Aug (fri-sun) last month but I received a call from SIA to start training on 22nd July. Should I e-mail the HR to postpone my training date?
Thanks!

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
