Hey guys! I guess I'm one of those people who's having problems with the medical. I had to do my urine test 3 times. And they still failed me. They are sending my 4th urine sample to the lab for further testing. They told me my BP was high too.. which is weird because I've never had any problems with high BP before... I even visited my GP and he told me I had no problems with hypertension... I even have the deive at home to test my BP.. At home it's like 120-130/90... which is kinda normal I think.. but the doctor told me mine was 160 :s. So she sent me to Mount E for further testing. Before I met up with the specialist.. the assistant took down my BP as 129... but when the specialist did it.. it was 160 plus... So she's suspecting this as a case of white coat syndrome.. So I had to go for further testing. Had my blood test, ECG and Echo done today... The lady who did the Echo said my heart was normal.. so tht's good to know... But tomorrow I have to go back there and get this device from them and wear it for 24hrs to monitor my BP... And so far.. I've spent like more than 700 dollars.. So I guess this will suck harder if I don't get the job at the end of the day..

Sorry maine21. I can't reply to your pm coz I'm new here. At first they said they found traces of sugar in my urine.. Then it was protein.. in the end they just gave up and asked me to pee in the bottle so they can send it to the lab. My BP over there was very high actually... like 150-170... but I never had this problem before.. I know I was nervous... I think if yours is in the acceptable range then they will not penalize you.. good luck aiite

@harajukugirl Hahaha yeah I just saw your msg . I did the ECG and Echo just now.. She sent me to Dr Ruth Kham Heart and Arrhythmia clinic at Mount E hospital. And it cost quite a bit actually... the consultation, renal screening and ECG cost me $224. The Echo was $382. And tomorrow the device that they are gonna strapped on me for 24hrs will cost abt 200 plus if im not wrong.. Hopefully you'll do better than me

Good luck!

Glad that you girls had done your medical. I'm going tomorrow. Sounds scary if I didn't pass, have to pay & pay... :p Pray that my results will be fine.

harajukugirl: i just , idk , too nervous and messed it up. wasn't speaking loudly and, clearly enough i guess.. but they din ban me or anything though so i take it as a good thing hehehe
ANYWAY, read the newspaper tdy that SIA will be issuing out NOTES (sorry financially i have no idea what it is), but it states that they need to raise more money to buy airplanez, so hope that it's good news for all!

Oh my so many newcomers and potential trainees! Today is the 3rd day of training and I'm so tired already!!! Neglecting the forum a bit... haha~ all the tour at the airport and grooming. LOL!!!
Those who are starting on 8 July, I will see y'all very soon okay! Remember, be prepared to greet everyone you see, it's really really really important!

I got a 2nd call for a scoliosis x-ray. I am worried that it may affect my chances. Anyone have any idea of this scoliosis problem.
I also got a 2nd call today for a scoliosis x-ray. Paid $160! I'm afraid they wouldn't pick me cause of this.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
