I got my call today at around 5pm from STC. Starting 14th June.
I was the batch that went for the medical on Monday, 10th May. Got a call on Tuesday telling me I have to go back for a 2nd xray due to Scoliosis (which i had no idea i had).
I waited for quite a long time, most of my friends have already been called up and that scoliosis issue was making me worried.
Thankfully, it wasn't a problem and I was so relieved when I got the call today.
Anyone starting 14th June too?

For me, it was just a 2nd x-ray at Mt. E
No forward bending test was done.

Hi derenia,
I'm waiting for trainin to start..but i personally tink ex-cabin crew shldn hav prob finding jobs right..in fact i tink a lot of employers out there wld wan to employ becoz of their customer service background and the trainin tht they go thru plus the prestigious SIA company in their resume..hmm at least thts wad i always tht..any comments anyone? Seniors 2 cents worth?
yup no doubt i guess the customer service standards of SIA cabin crew is one notch above the others, but what if they dont want to work in service line anymore? i read on the older forums some employer actually told them outright that they dont hire ex-cc cos they only know coffee or tea? etc. but then again, there will also be some companies who are not so particular i hope?
yea anyone can share their views on it?
and is it possible to opt for ground jobs in SIA after flying for air stewardess? like how air stewards can actually be trained to become pilots.

Hey babyhugss, just curious, you were not called back for any further medical checks/x-rays? Anyway, I'm also waiting for the call from Mary (those on FB keep saying we hope to be her "little lamb"
) and my notice period is a month, feel like emailing them to say I can start within 2 weeks after persuading my current boss.

Nope they did not ask me to do either for the 1st or 2nd x-ray. I did not know I even had scoliosis in my 25 years of life. So i didn't write it down. But if you know you have scoliosis, and declared on the form, maybe they might ask you to do the bending test?

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

SIA Crew

First post
Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
