thanks for letting me know natalie !
so charmaiin you're confirmed too ?? congrats !!! :D

pls do update the rest of us in the forum on how your first solo flight goes ! there are cabin crew who write in forums abt how there are glamorous AND unglamorous sides to the stewardess job, but it's rarely detailed. it's mostly a general sketch like: "yes you get to see the world, but it can be tiring and there are things to be done like cleaning toilets and taking care of crying babies, etc". :P

well.. it's true being a cabin crew ain't that glamorous as everyone may think. i don't know how my first solo flight with sq might be. but i can share with you my experience while working with another airline.

It was my first solo flight from narita back to singapore. i was serving beverage request from numerous pax. holding a total of 4cups of greentea, mixture of hot and cold. while i was handling over to the pax, there's a sudden turbulence. Spilled all cups and scalded the pax arm.

thou pax wasn't angry nor anything as she understands it ain't my fault. I felt so bad and guilty abt everything. =(

i too cleaned lavatories where there's shit/urine/semens on the floor or in the toilet bowl.

alot of people always think stewardess just need to look good and to serve just pax. But it wasn't til u are really working in this line..

thanks for sharing, natalie :)

were you previously working for JAL ? it's surely not all glamour but i think no job in the world can beat the amount of travel and varied human interaction involved !!! and sia's competitive salaries are just an added bonus, in my view.

congrats on your confirmation again, you must've felt so triumphant after the phone call !!!! :D

Aww... Im so envious that you guys made it!! Wish I could too... :) But oh well, congrats for making it through!!!! Best of luck in your future endeavours. :D

u will get 2 SNY flights (SNY flights are like trainee and on job training. u will be guided)

Thereafter u will graduate and will go for your first solo. First solo you are on your own, you are required to know your duties and perform your job independently. Depends on your luck, if u lucky get long flight, u not so lucky u get short and hurried turnarounds.

By the way, my mistake. Apparently the recent interviewees were indeed told not to reapply within the next 6 months.

so does that mean the passengers on the plane will be lesser? since only 1 person will be serving everyone on board... anyway what is the point of having this solo thing? care to clarify?? :)

Not at all, the load will be just like any other flight depending on your luck

SNY - training
Solo - Fully operational, operating like any other crew on board
