Many of us have discussed about the impact of worldwide recession on the CC monthly pay. While I agree in union that every industry is unavoidably affected in this economic crisis, I puzzle how much SIA guarantees her CC staffs.
The expected total monthly salary of CC stated on the SIA website remains as SGD$3,500 and we all know that the basic monthly salary is just a fraction of this amount. Given that a corporation does not state figure and number publicly without sense of responsibility, is SIA promising CC a $3,500 monthly salary or just the basic pay? If it was the latter, is SIA in a way misleading the applicants?
What do you all think?

from what I know, SIA recognizes and accepts private diploma certificate. Best of luck!

The old posts in forum is where you can seek the answers to your common questions in.
I doubt if it would affect the chance since SIA isn’t recruiting a specific fraction of each batch of interviewees, but rather selecting as many or as few as what they deem desirable.

Remuneration & Service Benefits
A monthly allowance will be provided during training. Upon graduation, you can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about SGD3,500 a month. In addition, there will be an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus. You will also be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times.
I think it is clearly stated and isn't misleading to anyone of us.

May it be Gross pay or take home pay, its the total amount you get per month; thats about $3500 under normal circumstances. When comes to a crisis, this figure will change and no one knows by how much. Would you rather be assured of a $3500 gross or a basic of +- $1400 per month? I would happily take the $3500

I believe we have many search engines online? If you can spend time surfing, why not search for it?

No.2, 5 and 24 you need to walk for about 10min to get to STC from the bus stop. If still unsure, take a taxi from somewhere nearby. Hope this helps.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
