 agree!!
new CC can be of various ages, so if the no. of flying yrs isn't representative of the cc's age, why would it still be a taboo? company culture?

tried. it was a 'call not allowed' kind of no. I somehow recognized that I received call from SIA at a similar no. before. thx though!

..... Because there are to many of us !!!!!!!

Say they want 1 malay girl and 1 chinese girls....

and there are 50 malay applicants and 500 chinese girls....

nothing to do with race here, but we all know Chinese are the majority race in singapore yeah...?

:P
No, I'd disagree with you, yes they may have a quota for the no of cabin crew they want to have for each race. the majority race in singapore being chinese, im sure the quota for chinese is higher compared to malays. so i think, it's actually an even playing field for ALL races..

But there are more malays applying for cabin crew now, so with the smaller quota for malays..then..hmmm...it'll be much tougher to get in..

Added with the bad economy, i think that makes it alot worse for ALL of us ya??

I could be wrong abt the quota thing for each race though..Anyone know abt this?

I guess it's a culture in SIA that juniors do not ask how long the seniors have been flying. ](*,)

Might be wrong about the culture once again but the staff numbers can and do reveal the number of years a crew has been flying or working in the company. \:D/

Age wise, I can easily check the GD before each flight.

It can be but 4 sectors flights are usually tiring because of the profiles of the passengers.

Dubai-Istanbul is the shortest and sweetest of all 4 sectors, at least for me.

Why do you say so?

Nothing, cause that is my mindset or have always been brainwashed that only Asian girls are considered for the job which is still the fact. Oriental to be more precise.

No other nationalities I have heard or flew with before but of course, now we do have according to some in here. But I guess the Caucasians ladies should be kinda oriental looking? Heh.

Didn't know you are one yourself?
