their requirement is at least 5 credits for Os, or As, or diploma.
if you have a diploma (from anywhere, since they never stated any requirement for their diploma), you don't have to worry about Os or anything else to meet the education requirement.

and as for the diploma, as long as it is a diploma, it IS a diploma, be it from anywhere. if your cert says its a diploma, then it IS a diploma.
Hi, i do see your frustrations to the repeated question.
However, it did state that, the Diploma that one holds has to be from a Local Polytechnic. This mean, its either from TP, NP, NYP, SP, RP. I do not think a Private diploma counts. I also regard Lasalle as a private college. Thus my question..

Hi, I don't think it's stated that the diploma has to be from a local polytechnic. Where did you get that from? From what I can see here (http://singaporeair.recruitmax.com/main ... rderID=483), it's just:

• Degree/ Diploma
OR
• At least 2 GCE ‘A’-level credits and 2 ‘AO’-level credits including General Paper in the GCE ‘A’-level examination
OR
•At least 5 GCE ‘O’-level credits including English and working experience

In any case my diploma is not from a local poly and it's accepted. =D

yup, I didn't know and haven't heard that there was any statement that states that the diploma has to come from a local polytechnic. where did you hear that from? a lot of the ppl who got in holds diploma from private institutes too.
if there is, I really apologise for my wrong statement. :)
I'm not really frustrated, so sorry if I sounded that way :)

most importantly is hopefully they will get back to us as soon as posible, as we need time to prepare as well. Im very nervous about this interview this time around. I find it alittle awkward as SIA just held a interview session last month and now another 1 so fast? What does that mean? I understand it is great for us but alittle too fast dnt you think so? hahahha maybe im just thinking way tooooo much..
I investigate things to complete my knowledge, my knowledge makes my thoughts sincere, therefore my heart is pure.

I got a friend she applied using a Dip in Hotel Management by Shatec and she got accepted, flown and left after her bond already.

As for my other friend, he got a Dip in Culinary Skills from Shatec. But unfortunately, he was not accepted due to that.

Different Dip have different value bah??? :???:

So I suppose its still best to clarify if the dip by any private institution is recognized or not straight from their cabin crew HR dept.

Perhaps someone who is more senior or is aware of the criteria can shed a little light on this gray area.

My guess is they didn't manage to take in a satisfactory number of qualified trainees. The walk-in response was quite bad wasn't it.

On the contrary, if the 25thNov walk in is the one in question, it was rumored to have catered to roughly mid 1000s or slightly less. I won't attempt to compare to previous walk-ins as I have no stats on hand but a pretty big turnout if you ask me. Definitely not a bad response that's for sure.

Oh yeah, btw I forgot to mention
my female friend got good results for her O levels, can go JC type of scores.
while my guy friend think only got 3 or less O levels credits.
So that could be why... :x

Hi all, I have a question to ask, in regards to the write in. As I will be graduating only next year. So under the "tertiary qualification' there is this option of "expected' or 'awarded'... so it is referring to the qualification or the "class of honors/GPA'?
i'm a little confused over this.

:???:

I think it depends on individual whether you are currently pursuring the honors year (year 4 now). If yes, state the expected class of honors, otherwise, state the GPA. This is my interpretation. :)

However, I put neither. hahaha.... I left it as "In progress". I know that it is inappropriate, but it turned out fine for me.

Haha no, sorry for the confusion. I mean the number of people they actually managed to take it from the very huge turnout might have been less than satisfactory. :) I mean the response was 'bad' in the sense that not many made it through.

from what I happened to see on the lists at few occasions, SIA has recruited at least close to 20 people from the dec walk-in interview. is that a lot or few? i am unsure.
