i guess the intake for steward really very little..
quite demoralising when the lady told us that onli 1 out of 10 will get in .. haiz..

i`m thinking too what they actually want and looking for during the first interview..

the guy in group 2 was our 1st speaker yeah?? the indianfella in the suit?? he claims he speaks 5 languages.... amazing...

I went for the interview too, i'm group 41. It's amazing to see so many people this time round. It's really very different from the rest of the interview i went, it's really pack with people. Anyway i think they are choosing people very selective and slowly. The girl who got in was average looking but she spoke with confident. Anyway i thought there were other girls that would be selected as well but they only choose 1 out of the 10. So sad..

hi all, same thing, out during first round!

apprently the girls in my group, most of them, more than 5, spoke well and looked nice. but surprisingly, the one who spoke very gently and shyly got in. only 1 out of 10 of us!

I thought they wanted bubbly cheerful kinda ppl, but I think I am wrong.. lol

I guess the recession is really taking its toll on this interview.
the cut off rate is damn high!

*I really regret forgetting to say that I know Japanese language...*

puzzling isnt it.Thats what i feel too.

I guess they arent looking for bubbly cheerful pple after all.

Sheraton Hotel was really crowded juz now!

i reali wonder wat are they looking for in the 1st rnd(intro)...
2 out of 10 got in for my grp.
Those who speak with confidence didn't get in...
but the girl who was extremely nervous and kept on stammering during her speech got in! (perhaps she's a CC with Emirates..that's why?!)
or is it true that they're juz looking for slim girls..?

Can someone pls tell me wat r they looking for during the 1st rnd???

Hi all, I was puzzled too. I wondered what they are actually looking for. Yes, definitely they are looking for someone who can resemble the iconic girl, Singapore Airline Girl, but how do you know if someone has the potential to be one? What measurement or requirement? Hmm... It's very subjective and different interviewer may have different interpretation of it. The whole interview is as exciting as striking 4D.
