(:

Yea because when my sister went for the interview in the past, they measured her height wrongly (but its just a cm lesser, but 1cm can really mean a lot of people who are 157cm. lols)

I will be going for the interview this month (: (hopefully there is one)

Hi sherrielynn,

Congrats for being selected to the final round! Hope you will get through this last stage and be a singapore girl. From your messages, you protrayed to be very pleasant and humble, which is why I guess they have chosen you too.

I got booted out in the 3rd round, 1-1 at around 6pm. I have a doubt here that, what were the questions they ask you during this 1-1 session? Was 'What is your greatest weakness?' the only question being posed to you? Because I actually got a lot of questions and I wonder if everyone got the same too.

Some of the questions asked were:

1. Do you speak singlish (what should be a right answer? on one hand, its comforting to speak singlish to fellow singaporeans but on the other hand, it might not look professional when conversing amongst foreigners)

2. Have you lived in overseas
3. Do you do housework
4. What do your parents do
5. Account an experience with a difficult customer
6. Would you think you can fit into the SIA's culture

How is the passing rate for this third round?
+++Lets get jet set!+++

Hi artificialsweet ! Thank you for your well wishes ! And I really hope I do make it thru because I've no idea what is gonna happen tomorrow !

Come to think about it, theres 2 group of interviewers.
Mine was an indian lady and a chinese man ! And they never asked questions just told us they thank us for coming all the way here and to keep our introductions to a min or 2.

Never give up ok ?! =)
I didnt really wanted to go but it is all because of my 2 friends and a very understanding bf of mine who supported me.. and they dragged me down to try. lol

Hello there !

Hmm, let me recall what was being asked.

I knew I was very tensed. I went in and was thinking how come the chair was so far away ? So i wanted to pull closer. Almost immediately, she went " Er, don't pull so close, sit further pls ! ".

What a disgrace.

anyways she asked me for an intro again and i gave her what i said during my self intro round.

Then she saw that I've a adv dip in Education and she asked if i m gonna further my studies but i told her not at the moment and she asked me how come. :?

Then she asked me if i werent to get this job, what will I be doing.
I told her I actually put in effort for this interview. So she switched questions and asked me what kinda effort did I put in. And so I answered loe. Told her I went to look for information with regards on whats to expect for this interview, went T3 to look for SQ girls and asked them how they make it thru and finally read up about SQ's history.

And she asked me about the history. Very glad she did because I memoriesed the history !!

Then finally she asked me whats my greatest weakness loe. And i told her I get very nervous and then all she did was just to ask me read the passage and told me to wait outside.

Then after that they gave me a pre employment medical paper and some other stuff and told me to come tomorrow at 845 am.

Most of the time stewards are assigned galley duties meaning preparation of meals/drinks before service starts. However ,they will assist in serving pax when required. When there's a shortage of stewards onboard, stewardess will in turn do galley duties instead. :D
