Is the recruitment schedule for 2009 out?any news on the recruitment drive in 2009?

Nothing at the moment. We are expecting close to nil recruitment next year. Expecting. Of course, anything can happen but at the moment, we have an excess of crews and the company is canceling flights so the future is bleak.

I cannot answer that.

But with the current economical turmoil and light loads, it might be write-ins instead of walk ins.

As I've mentioned earlier on, we have an excess of crews at the moment because of those few huge intakes earlier this year, we do not really need any more to weigh down on the salary expenditures.

Not with the HR but I'm a CC myself. We have access to information online and onboard.

Sadly, this isn't the right time to join CC as this crisis might be comparable to SARS & 911 in the near future. This doesn't only apply to SIA and other industries too.

By the way, your age is fine but you have just boarded the wagon at the wrong time.

Hi mintia! I'm also having the same thoughts with you as I have gotten a slot at 3.20pm. Would it be possible to go earlier? I've read from earlier posts saying that they do not allow entrance for candidates apart from their appointed time.

Can any kind souls please help to shed some light here? Is it ok to turn up earlier than the appointed time? Or it might instead reflect badly on us?

Is there any statistics that suggest the morning slots have a better chance in getting in?

Thanks sherrielynn for your two cents worth. Thing is, since we didn't submit our photos in the online application. I supposed they shortlist candidates potentially through qualifications solely. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

How many rounds are there in a day interview?

I didnt summit mine online too. But unless ur personal CV has it. Don't worry, they will hire you if you are confident.

I don't see SQ having many pretty faces. Guess as long as you know what you are doing, you will do fine.
