Hi, I have got a few qns to ask so please help me with it! (:
1.) Anyone know if the recruitment for next yr is as high as this yr?
2.) Will it be of any great help if I'm in f&b line for 3 yrs and know basic japanese?
3.) Is it necessary to have flawless skin?
4.) Is it to say if I go for the interview 6mths before my graduation they will leave a slot for me for training once I graduated if I manage to pass through all the rounds?
Thanks. (:

Plus the water confidence test during training is to test if u dare to jump into the water? Cause I cant swim.

swimming is quite an important element for crew... imagine if there's any emergency and you need to evacuate, but you can't swim? true there's will be life jackets but if you're afraid of water then i think it's a big problem already.
anyway, i realized that not many people want to answer this kind of questions anymore, because they're are really FAQs... like what sierra2469alpha says, you need to do your research for every job that you want. reading up a little won't hurt you.

actually their requirements are kind of unpredictable, like perhaps you feel that this particular girl should get a better chance to pass thru round 1, but she did not where another girl whom is the least possible one to get through, got in.
So, it's kind of by luck at times. ^^

i havent posted anything ever since training started.
to ans all the enquiries made frm the above, u do not need to know how to swim to be offered a job here. a few of my batchmates duno how to swim and they are currently training with me. u just need to be able to float in a lifejacket and tt will do just fine.
as for recruitment, they need alot of pple...but i aint so sure if they will need more next year. my class had a chat with the recruitment officer from HR during lunch and she was eagerly telling us to get our friends down for the 21st sept interview. however, even if alot of crew are needed, the selection procedure remains just as stringent.
hope all these help =)

does anyone have any idea when the next interview is?
and do any slightly plump girls ever get selected?
or do they all have to be skinny?

hello everyone,
i would like to just check with u guys some stuff. This massive recruitment drive that SIA has being holding thru out the whole year is it just one time things because of the incoming new airbus? what abt new year? and how often do they hold such recruitment in the past... 6 months once? or do they do it ambigously?
only injuries can stop me from being the best

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
