Does anyone knows of anyone who have chicken pox scars on face or acne discoloration on the back who got the SIA contract?
Im thinking of going for the SIA interview on the 21st of september 08 but I have those two problems( 2 visible cp on face & acne discoloration on the back) .will concealing as much as possible (altho can still be visible a lil) helps?
There was a girl who attended my talk a few months ago had 2 chicken pox marks next to her eye. She was booted a few times at the kebaya round. She came and consulted me and now she happily flying with SQ (her 1st month flying).
Hi,I'm also quite new to this forum.I know it's very silly to ask this ques.but I still very curious.do u know of any gal who get in SQ with less than 5 O level credits but have experience in customer service??
from my past interviews, they will reject those without 5 olevels credits.. but u can try..

I would like to know what is the blackout period if any, should one made it to the SQ final management round but was not selected? Went last month and would love to try again! Was so close.
it is 2mths=)
Hi Catcrazy,
So if I didnt make it through the final round in June - means I should be OK for this coming Sept interviews right? *worried*
Thanks,
mintia
I have heard some say 3 months and some say 6 months. U positive 2 months is good enough for those who didn't get the final ok in the final round? Such blimey and was so close and i needed that yes!

being a cabin crew is definitely not easy and glamorous as you think. maybe the layovers are fun but the culture is just so SILLY!
think before you apply. i am already planning to fly with Emirates once my bond is over. as you know, Emirates provide every single thing and you dont need to worry about the culture and zapping anymore.

D7 for english? they are very particular about that.... you gotta have at least a B.. no matter how many years of experience you have, it doesnt matter

Just a quick question here!
does a 31-year-old guy stand any chance for becoming SQ cabin crew?
if with language advantage and customer service backgound, possible to get the job offer?

Hi I wanna ask something regarding qualifications. I scored a D7 for English during my 'O' Levels but I have a Diploma. Will I get rejected? I noticed from the website that I can have Degree/Diploma OR At least 5 GCE ‘O’-level credits including English. What I mean is whether they will reject me because of my D7 in English when I have a Diploma.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Yes, they accept. As long as you got a higher qualification than O level.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
