In that case only the company doctor can determine if its acceptable. If you want you can go to the Raffles clinic at T2 or T3, they are the company doctor so I guess they will know better. Tell them you want to join Cabin crew and would like to take the test first to see if there will be any problem to pass the colour test during the test. You will have to foot the bill ya. You can also just go for the interview and if you get thru to the medical rouund then its free but if you fail because of the colour test then you will be wasting lots of time and effortdannyooi_84 wrote:hey, abercrombie... i have slight deficiency of red and green colour. I think the dots shouldn't be a problem for me. It is just when i did the test, Ishihara test. I have some difficulty in seeing the number. Mixtures of variety of clours.
If I remember correctly there is no hearing test during the medical round, can any one who just went for medical comment on that? Hearing aid is not allow when onboard the aircraft. Partially as is how much? Only the doctor can determine. There are crew with good hearing went they join become "partially" deaf after they fly, because of burst of ear drum when they fly while having a flu or cold. Job hazard. Their "partial" is very minor of course as this job require lots of communication between crew, pax, pilot inside the noisy aircraft. Crew tends to speak softly in the aircraft too because the pax always complain to the company that the crew speak too loud and disturb their restGnip wrote:
I'm born partially deaf in one ear, is that going to be a major problem?

I think hearing test is part of the medical check up....not too sure if SIA does have coze the last time I went for the medical check up by another airline...they have tat as part of the medical testGnip wrote:Abercrombie wrote: If I remember correctly there is no hearing test during the medical round, can any one who just went for medical comment on that? I just chatted with a lady who got in via the last round. There was a hearing test! Is lack of hearing a disease? Because when I used to go for a check up, I don't think it was classified under diseases such as epilepsy and heart attack; so I did not state this when asked if I had any diseases. Any one can help me on this? Thanks in advance!
ladyinc wrote:As of end August, when I had the medical check up , the doctor conducted a full medical assessment consisting of a short hearing test. However, it was not as comprehensive as the one that snowss received by the other airline. What I got was just a simple check of the ear using the Otoscope and at the same time, the doctor will say a quick one word and will ask you to repeat the word she said. It goes the same for the other ear.
The distance between patient and doctor is about an arm's length, or an average distance from the usual doctor's seat and the patient's seat.
hey there, the ban is only applicable if you failed at the management round, i.e Round 4. There is also no ban for repetitive tries if you fulfill the above mentioned criteria or unless you have been told officially by the staff otherwise.leeyannyng wrote:Hi, does anyone know if there's ban for interview if u fail the 1st try? e.g gt rejected in rd 1...
