Zomg, been such a long time since i last posted.
Don't worry, there shd be walk-ins for almost every mth
Like what
jiakel had mentioned, training is very fun but can get very tiring at times but nonetheless i'm very fortunate to have extremely nice batchies.
Those who are waiting for medical results, always stay positive and we will see you soon in stc!
Hello there!

Tres Bien Merci wrote:For SIA walk-in interview, I would say it depends on your luck. Those people that got the job are solely based on luck. I would say it is more than 50%.
My friend went for the interview for the first time and she got in but at the end she felt that this is not the job she is looking for. As soon as the contract is up, she will left the company and do something else.
For my opinion, the interviewers have lack experience in choosing the right candidate. The company needs to do something about this. Probably they can send their staff for training.
I agree that they should choose candidate based on suitability. It would be better for the company to choose those people who have passion in customer service and know the job very well such as what is expecting from them compare to those people that only know how to convince the interviewer and they got the job. The interviewer needs to see beyond that. They need to be impartial.
I believe everyone can go through and pass all the training as cabin crew as long as they are willing to learn. The important factor we need to see is passion. With passion and good training, it can help to reduce the resignation. This is what the trainer needs to see from the candidate.
For those that cant make it for 19 July interview, please don’t give up. Try again!!!
Total AGREE! but not solely on luck, i believe the most final round they picked one of the best among the lucky ones!
Still...IS LUCK....at least 50 percent
I know i want to be, I can be, and i will be!
My passion in the air.
Karyne says thank you for your replies. ^^

hm... ic ic....
I'm somehow in dilemma, I passed through all the rounds of interview during Feb'08 walk-in... and was told to email SIA once I finished my course of study....
I emailed them a week ago.. and there's no news at all from SIA till now....
Waiting is really a mental torture.

usually it'll take how long to notify you of your training after you've passed all the rounds of interviews?
is there cases where girls go for training w/o producing the original certs of education?

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

SIA Crew

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
