there was one girl in my group got through round 1 with braces... but i think round 2 out le.

yeah, i seriously don't know what they're looking for anymore... last time i used to think if we are service oriented and friendly and we look presentable, we should be able to get in. but that doesn't seem so in my case... those that got in in my group were not smiling, their reasons were because they wanted to travel and etc.

no matter what i'm going to condition myself for the next interview... will do my best! everyone jiayou okay! :)

me too. There are people wh just casually come to interview not knowing what to expect and they got in and then there are so many of us who want to get in but failed to do so . I noticed that the interviewers are pretty young themselves..

anyone got the reply for write-in?

I went for the interview on sunday too. My group was pretty stong. many of them has strong points in the service industry and all of them spoke very well. however, i guess the interviewer only picks the pretty girls cos 2 girls from my group got in and they are cute, pretty and sweet. Sometimes, i just wonder what are the interviewers are looking for. My friend told me that the interviews on sunday was tough. many people was booted out of no reason. i guess we got to keep trying and i believe we will get the job one day.

Sorry to butt in... as a mod I check for spam every once in a while.

Have any of you actually FLOWN as a passenger on SQ (or any other for that matter)? You would soon catch the drift as to what is going on.

a) You must look good. Unlike US and EU airlines which prohibit age discrimination, Asian airlines can selectively hire the 'babes' to appeal to business travelers, the majority of whom are men. So, it's not about any specific characteristic, it is about whether you come across as friendly, attractive, and warm. Yes, braces might be a problem, then again not if you can carry yourself and look like a warm, caring person. Reality is perception.

b) This has got to be one of the hardest and most thankless jobs there is, especially for the low pay. Essentially, you are a waitress and toilet cleaner, putting up with any kind of garbage from a captive audience, and yet, as you know, must also be trained in airline safety and the aircraft. And they pay you peanuts because so many want to do it.

c) Ever wonder why there are so many recruitments? It is because cabin crew leave in droves, tired of low pay, strange hours, crappy work environment, and very hard work.

Don't get me wrong. I am very appreciative that people do consent to serve me (and generally very well) as I fly. I have great respect for those crew who are active (or were active) and have posted their experiences here.

I also applaud those who want to go try something new. And I have some advice. If you have to ask questions here about how to 'be' what makes you think you would be at all qualified to handle the drunk at 35,000 feet who wants to pinch your ass? You better be creative.

If you have to ask questions about this scar or that mark, then you've missed the real you. Understand they want babes. Decide if you are a babe. Then go for it... or not. What you look like is actually less important than how you present yourself... and if you have no confidence you are a dead duck.

I'm a 58 year old guy. Except for the fact that I'm ugly and old, I'd make all the interviews. I am confident, positive, happy, and I will put up with a lot of crap...actually, I am handsome too... the only reason the airlines would not hire me is because nobody would want to put their hand up my skirt... except maybe the older ladies in business class.

Rant off. Good luck ladies (and gents).

Don't waste your time worring whether or not the intake will be better (I assume you mean take more than usual/last time?). You need to concentrate on the things outlined by Strong Eagle above, same as I have been saying in various ways.
