Well I wanted to avoid the crowd, thus only made it in the afternoon, but will try to make it in the morning for the next round :)

Any guys that went for the interview on the 25th in the morning? Was it crowded? Cos I finished bout 6pm when I went at about 2pm.

Hey Yoshiaki,

normally the crowd is for the gals ba... probably for guys need to wait a while oso... but rest assured the waiting time is not as long as the gals.

Yupe....try to go early next time. especially while the interviewers are still fresh and willing to listen... :)

During my briefing there were some who got their training batches just two days after their medical. That said, there are those who waited anytime from one week to a month. It all depends on your availability I guess. And the bond signing will be a few days before your training starts. Hope that helps! :)

Hey yoshiaki,

I am still in uni, graduating at end of this yr.
You dont need a degree to be a pilot though.

When should i tender my resignation?
When someone (Most likely is someone by the name 'Mary') confirmed your batch number and will instruct you when you will be starting your course. Prior to that..dont even think/try tender from your job!!

What is the chances of a person failing medical?
Not high...there is no exact statistic..but unless you unhealthy...your chances will be high..

by the way...they wont reveal to you anything on your medical result....so...happy worry'ing...we all been thru that...;)

Hi everyone,
Im here to share my experience on the 25th May 2008 at Sheraton Towers..
I was there at 9:20am.. surprisingly the Q for this time round wasnt as long compared to last month's.
During the 1st round we were told to act out as a cabin crew and to welcome the two interviewers on board and also to introduce ourself.. I guess quite a number of people were not prepared as normally round 1 was just only introducing round... so out of 10 only 3 got into round 2... and i was one of the luckier one.
But I wasnt so lucky to climb up all the way to the management round.
According to one of my fren he was asked this question during round 1: What is your favorite food and wine?

Hi everyone..

i happened to chance upon this forum and i would like to ask, I went for the interview on 25th may (3rd attempt) and got selected.. and i went for my medical on monday. my pre-employment briefing is on friday..

1) Will they tell us on Friday if we are confirmed with SIA and come down another day to sign contract, or do we have to wait for a call?

2) If i put down my resignation notice as 1-2 weeks, how soon will they call me and when should i resign?

3) What will they cover at the pre-emploment briefing? By the way, how do we get to the STC place? ;p

Anyway just to share with you my experiences at the interview, the first two interviews i went for i was kicked out both times at the skin check round.. i think it's because i have some slight scarring on my lower arms that is not covered by the kebaya..

For the 3rd interview i decided to conceal them, and when i saw that the beautician keeps asking me to turn my arms to look at the scars, i decided to mention that im seeking some treatment to remove them.. so i think that helped me to pass that round..

After that is 1 on 1 interview and they will ask you to read a passage, i was given a lot of scenario questions, so you just have to answer appropriately..

Management round i was quite lucky, i got quite a nice man and woman... they ask about the nastiest customers and best customers i ever had while working service line, and best thing is to try and make them laugh..

I'm so happy to be selected, but the waiting is killing me!! :( Im really worried something will go wrong with my medical...

hello...

congrats to all that passed the interview on sunday!! :)

i thought round 1 is usually self intro? man dont tell me the practice has changed... but sometimes i do agree that the interviewers will decide to be more creative and ask other type of questions.

i have 2 very small scars which are pretty dark in colour on my wrist... hope i can conceal them, the last time i failed at the kebaya, i guess its because of this 2 scars... it was still healing so, oh well...

i wonder when will SIA post up the next interview date? i want to go for it so badly! :)
