more than half of my class are foreigners and even when the instructor make us sit together with a mixture of locals and foreigners, they are still speaking their national language and laughing among themselves. it doesnt help that our class size is one of the smallest and with only one guy~ that guy also very poor thing.
me and another singaporean batchmate only have each other in class and we just feel so helpless esp when we see other batches having so much fun among themeselves.
i often read that people do not wish to graduate from STC.. but i'm dying to graduate
HEY HEY HEY!! dun be so sad. my class got 60% foreigners too!! and.. initially it was the same thing la.. but after a few months together things got better and i believe it'll be the same for u. cheer up! =)

Just go on ahead, re-apply while you can. Frm what I remember, a 6-mth ban applies under usual circumstances, but they're really going full throttle with the hiring ATM and will close an eye.
All the best, and try to get in before June....

There will be a guy who will organise tours for crew waiting for you when you check-into the hotel and he has been doing that for the pass 10-15 years. All the crew goes to the various tour thru him.
So interesting! Envy envy..hehe
may i ask like how long will crews stay in a country for long haul flights before their nxt shift?
If you get 48hour in total (usually spread over 3 days) then its very good already. Don't expect too much, the layover now is usually very short 80% of the flt are very short. You either rest for your next sector or go sight seeing. Doesn't sound so rosy right

Try making friends with people from the other batches too, you guys can go outing together after class or during the weekends. The canteen is a big melting pot

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
