i supposed raine muz b bz wif her training rite now, heh?
nyway, do u have any idea whether SIA requires any sort of letter to prove dat raine has graduated from her tertiary education?

well.... do we need to finish our last paper and know our result b4 we can start training wif SIA?

OR..... any1 here will start training soon while taking part time degree at the same time?

hope i made myself clear......
Hello Salvana,

Yup, i guess Raine must be very busy with her training.

If i recall correctly, for local students, there is no need for "proof" but for cases like Ying (holding student pass), they will need to produce the final result slip/letter etc so that they can apply the work pass for her (you can check with Ying for details)

As the matter of fact, i'm currently in 2nd yr of Uni, the lady at SIA told me that so long i'm willing to convert to part time studies, it is ok.However, if you are going to grad soon, they can only wait for you 6mths.

Hope it helps :)

I couldn't because SIA does not allow that. They failed me for my medical and I dont get it why I cant retrieve something which I paid for. :(
Hi Baroque,

Not sure about it but I was told by the nurse that I can collect since I paid so I went down to collect the xray which was done @ Mt E earlier. They said the results will be send to SQ for review thus till date, I have no idea about my results :(

Hi Plavt,

Thanks for the sharing ... will try to post more than 5 posts so that I can reply those pm :D

I'm still waiting for SQ's reply ... 3 weeks le.

Still wondering if anyone has the HR personnel number? Can pm me as I need to ask if my few emails have reached them.

Promise one of the HR lady on my mgtm interview that I will contact her asap when I have done what I needed to do. She said email the general email and I will be contacted asap to submit the rest of my documents and given my trg date...

Not sure what to do next ... Have done the emailing which was requested bt no response ... day by day ... I'm feel depressed... feeling lost
Feel negative ... not sure if I am still accepted ...

Just reg since this is the only forum i found that have discussions on airline careers...

Anyway, the coming interview on sunday applies to male & female right? :)

I'm thinking of going this sun (i'm a guy), i'm above 1.65m but below 1.7m.. Er do you all think i stand a chance?
i'm abit scare i'll be the shortest there.... :-|

Just go for it if you meet the requirements. I guess if you got the xfactorr and talk well they will take you regardless of your height. That time i when i saw a few guys who were abt that height get in but don;t lie abt your height when you write in the form. Thanks

This is total BS! They will not take you regardless of your height, they specify a height for a reason, that reason is; you have to be able to reach the overhead lockers which sometimes contain emergency equipment! This has been mentioned time and time again. [-X [-o<

Females are have to be at least 1.58m which is 5' 2" so I don't see the problem unless they have specified a minimum height for males?

Have just looked at the requirements for Malaysian FS/FSS since writing the above, for some reason a minimum height is specified for males of 1.65m so you should be OK. How come you didn't look yourself?

from his original post which says he's above 1.65m (between 1.65m & 1.7m), i think he'd looked, but his concern is being the shortest male during the interview...

because i think the average asian/singaporean male is 1.7m? which is a little short, to be brutally honest, but heck, go for it since u meet the requirement...
