In fact during the briefing, mary said the whole lot of us have not clear and we can only wait, and this just makes ppl anxious. Morever with the CNY festival, the wait would probably be longer...ha..will keep you update anyway!
i indicated that i will b available on March & onwards, so i shall just see lor, i guess probably would be a batch or two after yours...haha....see u on board anyway....hopfully
halp!
went for my medical on the 29th feb and am still waiting to be called up. a friend of mine went on the 30th and they called him up 2 days later to commence training on 14th feb. difference is that he can start immediately while ive got to serve a month's notice. just wondering if anyone who needs to serve a month's notice has been called up yet! just really hoping i didnt flunk my medical!

I shouldn't worry about it; about the only way you will fail is if you have any on-going conditions that will stop you doing the job. I take it you have been for the X-ray?

well i am pes c9l2. with a slight back problem nothing thatll stop me from doing this job but was a problem due to the heavy training and heavy loads i had to carry in the army.
just wondering whether they'll notify you if you dont pass the medical or anything cos apparently its said that if something is up the clinic will ring you but i havent gotten any calls from them. then again i havent gotten any calls from HR either
any idea how long i should wait before i should assume its unsuccessful?
your help is most appreciated! thanks!

29thJAN is only a few days ago. don't worry so much.
sometimes it takes several weeks for them to contact you.
They WILL contact u, be it pass or fail.
i waited for a week for mine, some of my frnes 4 days, some 3 weeks, it depends on the HR actually.

thanks for your help. got a little worried cos my pal got in already and he took the medical a day later. i think there might have been a foul up though after my final interview because both me and my pal were never given a pre-employment briefing letter. we were just told to go for the med. we had initial worries that we've been forgotten.. well not its just me..heh
btw how was your application?

Don't worry, they will get in touch with you. Even for people who's notice period is quite some time later like ard June, they get contacted in around 2-3weeks time.
Don't worry

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
