hihi lipcolor, i went for Emirates now waiting for 25th interview. But i'll going SIA on 27th 2 try my luck though i always get boot-out for SIA. U gg 27th at 8am right? I really wanna join u, but i doubt i can wait up so early and I rather break the interviews into diff days cause on my last SIA attempt, I passed until Kebaya. But the waiting just drives mi nuts and i wasnt thinking during my 1-1 interview. So 27th, I think i'll go for the interview slightly later. Anyway, mayb we can mit up before the Emirates interview on 25th?

Actually not very advisable to call Mary cause she would have called if she already has your report. The last time I called her she was telling me that we're not even suppose to call her to enquiry about our report status that kinda stuffs. And she told me that if her superior doesn't give her our report, she can't be asking her superior for it instead. So in her position, she can't do anything for us.

I felt bad hounding her for my report till she sounded so exasperated. So I suggest you wait abit, if by end of the week don't have then perhaps you call and ask.

Ying ying...u r not singaporean??? How come u need an employment pass? But in ur case since u mentioned that u need one...one week is not long! The pass will take sum time...it all depends on MOM. I know it coz i'm malaysian n i can roughly estimate from the waiting period my frens have gone thru. So seriously not to worry if u need an employment pass. For malaysians, it'll take at least a month b4 they call us...hope this helps to relieve ur anxiety

Just wondering if you have not sign the bond and contract yet you are not an employee of SIA, so how is SIA going to apply the pass for you? What if the pass is approve liao then you decided not to join?

Yingying: Work permit normally take 2-4 working weeks to process and by then only you will be allowed to work in Singapore. Dont fret cos you will get your call soon!

Lilian the HR lady let me fill up a form when i pass my mgmt interview.. it was a really thick form for application of dunno employment pass or S pass.. since they gave me the form, i spose they gonna apply it for me ya? cant help but feel so anvious... i even dreamt of failing it man.. argh....

i went for the 2nd xray the next day (thursday) and i guess they probably sent our reports to SIA latest by the following monday (this week). when will i be getting my call?

coz theres a girl who went for the medical on thursday.. and then she got her call on monday. her notice period is not immediate as well..

If yours is a "special" case whereby perhaps you once did a op to remove breast lump (like my case) or that you have other medical history, I suppose you can't compare with those who don't have such "special" cases. Cause I reckon their report will be much easier and perhaps written with a template style.

But for those with history, I'm sure the doc will take some time to write the report and also to verify that everything is really ok, afterall, they will be held responsible for the reports they submit. So even if the girl went medical with you on the same day, doesn't mean that your report is being sent out the same day as hers. For all your know, your report has only been sent out today because doctors also very busy, no time to write report everyday.

Rest assured they will send out asap cause no reason to hold our reports back. So once sent, it is up to the executives to read our reports before they decide to give the green sign to Mary. Be a little patient and wait till Friday?

Anyways, if your notice period is one month but you can only start in June or something, that could also be the reason why it takes a longer time. They need to clear those who can attend training in Feb, Mar onwards. I'm sure you will be fine!

anyway my case isn't special i guess coz mine is a very common case of scolioss and the person (x ray guy ) told me mine was very mild. i had this since young and it had always been 4 degrees.

hopefully they'll send out my report asap. =\

i told them i'll be free by mid-end FEB.. which is 1 month away.. so hopefully my report will be processed soon!!
